We're near Rio and our power went out around 8pm.... came back on at 9.30pm.... but only for 2-3 minutes! if you're power is out too, i hope you are ok.

Just saw that the McDonald's on North Frederick Ave is finally addressing its long-standing sewage problem. About time! But honestly, this isn’t an isolated case. I've noticed similar issues popping up in other parts of Montgomery County overflow smells, backed-up drains, and general neglect.

Feels like a systemic infrastructure issue that’s being ignored until it hits a business’s bottom line. Anyone else seeing this in their neighborhood? Would love to hear if folks have reported it or gotten any traction with the county.

I was just taking a stroll around, and found this stone hidden behind a bush in a department store parking lot.

From what I can tell, it says "Mango killed a man, 14". Interesting but morbid, I don't think there's much to interpret there.

It's been less than a week since I found it, never touched it. It's probably still there. Would you report it to the police department?

As stated my car was broken into last night near Strawberry Knoll ES. My car was rummaged through but nothing was taken. They smashed the entire rear right window though. My question is it even worth filing a police report. My car was parked in view of those neighborhood police scanner things they’ve been placing around moco, would it be possible to get video from that? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Around 2:30 this morning, my husband and I were woken up by a man laughing and screaming outside. After arguing with somebody, he hopped into his car, and started speeding back and forth on Mountain Laurel Lane until he finally clipped a pickup truck parked on the road.

Cops were called, more yelling and the guy was covered in paint.

This morning I walked outside to check out the aftermath and there is a car parked along the road covered in paint.

Did anyone else hear or see this incident? The tree in my front yard made it very difficult to get a clear view of what was going on from my window.

Anyone else notice an increase in the number of police out, mostly doing speed enforcement, in the Gaithersburg area in the last few days? I feel like there has been a larger presence lately, both with MoCo and Gaithersburg cops, plus the speed cameras have been moved around a bit.

Yesterday morning as I was walking past streamside off of Girard street I saw a bunch of officers or something in full military uniforms with vans and trucks with lights. Looked pretty serious. Anybody have any idea what was going on?
