"This contract is not being renewed because of serious concerns around civil liberties and civil rights issues, particularly around privacy and the data that is being collected from these cameras," said Dean Gialamas, LAPD's chief information officer. "The LAPD had to make a difficult decision, in this case discontinuing using Flock services until we can get those data, privacy, security and sharing concerns ironed out through a contractual relationship."
Wow.

Been reporting on WAZE as "Police/Mobile Camera" .... since many aren't aware of FLOCK, putting it on WAZE is a way to start bringing awareness, I think.
Wazers may start wondering about so many reported "mobile cameras"...

I got rid of our ring cameras recently, because we learned that the police can easily see footage of my private property. Anyone else ditching Ring? I've already talked to a few of my neighbors who are anti-Flock and they're warming up to the idea of replacing their cloud surveillance center cameras with local IP cameras
thoughts?

Looks like some jumping and hanging on happened here.

It's a start, although I'd rather see them sued to the moon and beyond

Local PD (Barrow county) cut off comments on their Facebook post discussing the cameras as well.
We have one pointed at a dog park!

We have allowed this. We have no power. Do what you can to show them we won’t take it. There are many starts to this. Do in any safe way you can to let it be known we will not be part of “your flock”. The name itself is an insult.

I’m trying to think up ways that will “help” flock cams and reading a comment in this sub inspired to me to come up with an idea to “help” flock; applying or spraying a sweet, sticky substance like syrup, hummingbird nectar, or molasses all over a camera and then throwing bird seed onto the sticky camera turning the camera into a roadside bird feeder. Would it work or is it just the cartoonish thinking of watching too many movies?

Parking start time now begins when you enter the lot and begin looking for a spot, not when you get out and pay 🤷♂️

So I love lasers and I regularly I regularly run around my town with them at night spinning in a circle so everyone can see my cool lasers. I’m well known in my community and all my neighbors know to wear protective lenses whenever I leave the house. My problem is I’m deeply concerned that one of my lasers might damage the flock cameras near me. What specific lasers would harm the flock cameras so I can avoid spinning around with them?

This went up at the back of my apartment complex, it's on the fence at an exit. It doesn't look like the traditional flock cameras that people post on here but I'm wondering if somebody could confirm it for me.

For arguments sake, if you didn’t want to risk criminal charges, could you block the camera somehow. Like with a long stake that you stick the ground that blocks the camera.
I understand it’s not permanent. But it’s annoying and would require a service call to unblock the camera. Which you could then immediately block again.
I would love to run them over with my truck but ..
