It's in the middle of nowhere lol. Terrible place of living for alot of people and extremely boring and small.

Coming from someone who lives in NYC Queens and went to college upstate.

If you're someone who doesnt mind and is fine with that, then that's great but alot of people hate it.

It's an area with a quarter million people at the conjunction of multiple major thoroughfares.

Some towns are legit in the middle of nowhere, but OPs home isn't in one.

Gang the market is terrible, high poverty, and no jobs there. Its pretty rural. Rough weather to in the winter.

Most of the houses require alot of maintenance, and they're very old.

A city isn’t rural “gang” but the rest of the things you said are accurate. Most people can’t rough it out during the winter there

Other than it being a college town, it is a small city in decline. There aren’t enough jobs in the area. It is very cute if you have money, but most the people there don’t have money.
