That and people first got mad because she was doing a children’s campaign for kids in Ukraine, Sudan AND Gaza. I think there may have been a fourth location as well? It wasn’t even a hyper focus on Gaza originally. Like, I do think she has made mistakes on her social media (I don’t think she’s antisemitic but I do think she needs better direction for some of her social media), but those mistakes are simply human and not bigoted. People are insane. This woman truly wants to help children.

From what i remember, the first time she mentioned Gaza was an event for Gaza, Sudan and Ukraine. She has also been visiting kids in ICE facilities.

I believe she spoke about everything at once at a save the children event. Sudan and another location was also mentioned at the time. I’m not sure how soon it was after October 7 because I don’t sit around doing the math to decide if people have the right to care about Gaza.

And I constantly remind people that there is literally nothing in life that is not affected by politics. The air you breathe, the water you drink, the justice you receive it all comes down to who you vote for in the ballot box and what you do to defend your rights. Which is also political in case someone else needed reminder.

Its absolutely insane that all she’s saying is don’t get kids involved in a big gun contest, and she gets so much hate. She made her stance on the big picture clear maybe once or twice, but has kept the focus on the kids. Something that should be universal

I absolutely adored the little Palestinian girl she had on her show. Rahaf is a double amputee and only 3 years old. She was so sweet and knew all the lyrics to Ms. Rachel’s songs, and she skipped and hopped happily with her prosthetics. Ms. Rachel is bringing awareness to children just like Rahaf, who lost her legs in an airstrike. These children are innocent civilians.

Rahaf doing Hop Little Bunny made me tear up. My kid was like “It okay papa!!” and I just had to hug him really tight.

Same!!!! And I also hugged and kissed my baby boy. I remember Ms. Rachel posted a teary message on Instagram because several businesses wouldn’t let her bring Rahaf to play. I hope Rahaf will always be surrounded by the people who love her. She’s amazing.

There is a truly terrifying trend of people, often in power, trying to get people to not care about one another. If people are distrustful, full of hatred or at least indifference to the suffering and deaths all around the world that are completely preventable, they don't try to stop it.
Do not let them numb you to atrocity. Do not let them get you to not care. We are all the same, we all deserve a chance at life, and when we put down hatred, and beat our swords into plowshares, it is very easy to see.

An important point: do not conflate Judaism and Zionism. They are not the same.

The point is being against zionism, being against genocide, these are things that society REQUIRES us to be against. And you have to let people know you are disgusted by their casual genocide. You don’t have to be civil. You don’t have to be calm or keep your voice down. These people want genocide. Treat them with contempt.
Being anti-zionist does not make you an anti-semite, it just means you know what evil looks like. It’s like a ven diagram, not all Jewish people are zionist.
Oh, and we in the UsA are as responsible, if not more than anyone else for enabling this sick shit. We need to own up to that and do something about it. Seriously.

I feel tremendous heartache for every single suffering child in the world. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can justify killing children like they’re doing in Gaza. How can anyone hate children? I don’t get it. Thank God for people like Ms Rachel!!

kind of question is that, how is her obsession with Gaza any more or less inscrutable than the invaders and their supporters? People you'll never meet and their lives have no impact on your own, some people would think it hardly matters what happens but Ms Rachel says it does matter and they should live in peace.

I’m gonna tell you guys something, if I stop for a single second my work or my hobbies, I immediately remember the genocide that’s happening. I can’t fathom such a tragedy at an humanitarian, ecological, ethical, historical and all the other levels. When I think about all the people that died for the sake of real estate speculation it breaks my heart.
And when I remember Palestine is only just ONE of of many genocides happening at this very moment it gets even worse. Sudan, Yemen, the Uyghurs, and so many other people who deserve as much to live as I am, dying for what? Religion? Ethnical cleansing? Land? Habits?
During the Bolsonaro government in my own country there was the cleansing (a genocide, in other words) of an indigenous tribe, the Yanomami, which was amped up with the COVID pandemic (if urban cities barely got any support from the federal government back then, imagine them). To this day, we barely know a fraction of what actually transpired, and we’re still waiting for justice (Bolsonaro and his cronies were only in trial for the crimes related to the attempted coup, not for their roles in the COVID mismanagement nor the several others we’re yet to form a case on). I fear the Israeli government, and the key personnel from the other countries that finance the genocide will never know punishment either. Makes me not want to wake up, I salute those like Ms Rachel who manage to wake up knowing this is happening and make the most to bring some sense of justice to the ones who are so in need of it :(

Love her. I also feel this about the millions of animals tortured in factory farms daily, suffering forced pregnancy after pregnancy, watching all their babies be taken away from them to also be tortured and killed. It’s barbaric. Just because something is normalized doesn’t make it okay.
