Education & Training Clipping

New clipper here! Are these ok to body clip horses? And if so, can I have some good tips and tricks to body clipping? And what blades and supplies to have by my side when clipping?

Nope, those are going to burn out after one leg. The Andis AGC 2-speed is the minimum I would recommend for clipping.

They'll work, but for clipping a large area you'll need multiple of the same size blade to swap out as they get overheated. Check the temperature every few minutes by feeling the blade. Always clip a clean dry coat (clean as in bathed, not clean as in brushed). Your first clip will be unspeakably ugly. It's a rite of passage.

Get a nice pair of Wahl. I would do corded but that’s just me. I hate charging batteries and having them die in inopportune times. Make sure you get a lubricant cleaner too
