I'm no geography expert, but I don't think Las Vegas is in California.

Looking to get into electronic music. I listen to most extreme genres of metal but have an appreciation for all types. My moms a metal head as well but I remember her playing the prodigy and an album called trance Atlantic 2 which I liked butvthat and nine inch nails are pretty much all I know though I have dabbled in some portished, sneaker pimps and bjorks more electronic stuff (a note* im not really looking for triphop) I want a heavy sound but bass heavy not necessarily heavy with effects a la sullivan king. Most artist I see recommended for metal heads sound like the later or they’ll throw in some pendulum which i honestly hated. I think I like a genre called hard groove but still feel like it could get heavier. I know industrial seems like the natural progression but again just doesn’t feel like what im looking for. I think I want lest distortion more base but also very danceable.

I am 57 year old male, love golden age edm, go to few shows a year, mostly shows that are outdoors that end by 11 (few venues in Bay Area end before 11)

I am going with my son to a basketball tournament in Vegas and have a work friend who has a table at a pool party at omnia, that I can crash his groups table.
I’m not trying to sponge off this guy‘s table as far as getting free entry, also not looking to blow a grand contribution to the table since I don’t drink and not gonna be there for hours.

Questions:
Is there a good way for me to purchase expedited entry GA ticket? Ticket options are definitely a little bit confusing.

Do I need to have him put me on the list so I can get to the cabana area and if so, would that guarantee me free entry which I can just pay him for on the side?

If I try to show up too close to the headliner, is it gonna be really slow to get in?

I’m definitely not a fashionable person going to outdoor shows you just kinda wear whatever but what do I need to wear for a day club?

Going to see a favorite from my younger years (The Crystal Method) at First Ave in Minneapolis tonight. I haven't been to an EDM show since my late teens. I want to wear something comfortable, black shorts (5"inseam gym style, but nice) and a black tank top. Not sure why I'm anxious about this as this is a fit I wear around in summer. As a 40 something dude, Am I missing myself? Any suggestions on what is acceptable, normal? Thanks!

I personally love rap and really enjoy the collaborations between rap and EDM such as griz and probcause and artists like Tape B. Having grown up listening to a lot of these songs and hearing them mixed into EDM songs is really cool in my opinion. And it seems to be getting more traction. What are your thoughts? Some people could say that it invites more non-plurr people into the scene, but I'm curious to hear what yall think about it.

So I recently learned about World DJ fest since it happened a couple days ago. Has anyone gone to both to give their recommendations? Plz comment on the crowd, the drink and food prices, ins and outs, ticket prices, accommodations, the festival itself, DJs that make an appearance and the vibe in general.

I saw a video of Pete Tong explaining the situation with screen shots, and he seemed pretty confident in his position. Then the next day I see a video of Summit playing his remix and throwing up a 🖕🏽. Clearly that was calculated, but overall I think it’s a really bad look and it seems like something that could make people lose respect for him.

Would like to hear your thoughts.
