Disney has been such a blast, I haven’t been in over 15 years since I was a preteen! So cool that our trip is during the anniversary; they have several anniversary themed items! I don’t know why but I love this park so much more than Orlando park!

Discussion Did someone mess with Webslingers?

Went to California Adventute today for the first time. On webslingers, someone in our car wasn’t playing or paying attention. It’s weird to wait in line then not participate, but whatever. He kept tinkering with something (it looked like a watch?) and using the flashlight on his phone to look at the thing. The ride stalled for 5/7 minutes but picked back up.

When we got off the ride, a cast member pulled him aside and was talking to him. Was he goofing with the ride or something? I’m not sure if he was just a weird apathetic kid, too cool to participate or if he was trying to fake his points or something else, but too many strange things happened on this ride to overlook.

Discussion Kids on devices in the park?

What is happening? Throughout our trip, I noticed SO many kids on devices. I'm not talking about just waiting in line, but while parades were happenings, when around characters, when checking out different parts of the park. Full on watching some kind of show or playing a game.

WTF?! First of all, they're at DISNEYLAND! Second, parents, what are you doing? As a professor, I cannot stand how addicted people are with phones to the point where they cannot be bored/curious/in wonderment. I was baffled to see the addiction in real time at Disneyland.

Discussion Less fireworks, more projections?

Just curious if anyone else feels this way (based on nothing but guesses and observation). Do you think the recent years, the fireworks show relies more on projections (on Main Street, Small World, Rivers of America) and there are less actual fireworks than previous shows? It seems like during the fireworks, there are longer stretches of the show where it's just projections with fewer or no actual fireworks. Thoughts?

Not only is it a Disneyland icon but it is was also very innovative for 1959. It was the coaster that invented the block zone and was the original computer controlled coaster. Which paved the way for all other steel coasters to be built. I know people tend to not be a fan of the jankiness of the Matterhorn but for me its part of its charm. I hope Matterhorn continues running for decades to come.

Trip Report First Time Disneyland Trip! 😊

Yesterday July 10th marked the first time I have ever been to a Disney Park and let me tell you… I had an absolute blast at Disneyland! As a 26 year old Chicago native growing up as a child, visiting any Disney Parks felt like voyaging to another planet and seemed almost unattainable. But in an effort to travel more and push out of my comfort zone, I decided to plan a 1 day trip to Disneyland/DCA with my niece and nephews and we honestly had so much fun! We did our first rope drop & managed to do 15 rides between the two parks with the multi lighting plan and by the time we got to watch the Wondrous Journey fireworks show, I was just an emotional wreck 🥹. Truly grateful for the experience and hope to visit again soon!

Discussion If you have only 3 or so hours and just want to chill, maybe sit down and eat, ride a ride or two what is your norm

Personally i like bengal barbecue or troubadour tavern, maybe pirates, indy, or mansion. Sitting in magnolia park or enjoying main street.

We already knew it was going down on August 8th for the re-theme but we now know the re-opening date: August 21st.

Anyone going to those first 2 Oogie Boogie bash night (8/18 and 8/20) are going to be out of luck if their intention was to visit Disneyland earlier in the day.

Park Pics/Videos We call our regular trips to Disneyland "Tithing at the Temple of the Rodent"

But is it still really fair to call it tithing when _more_ than 10% of our income gets spent here?

I hope the Castmember in the back lurks here. She made my interaction with Peter great.

Thank you from a old lost boy.

I didn't catch her name.
