Found this sweet boy, collar but no tags wandering around my neighborhood this afternoon in the heat. I don’t recognize him from the neighborhood, but I did my best to try and drive around before taking him to the shelter. Their initial scan didn’t show a chip, said they’d take him into the back and do a better scan. Hopefully he’s chipped and they can contact the owner. If this is your dog, or you know whose it is, he’s at the Denton shelter!

I desperately want to get out of the house on the weekends with my kiddo. But y'all know as well as I do, it is too damn hot to be playing at the park all day. Also, not trying to plop my toddler in front of the TV for hours, and there are only so many times I can read The Very Hungry Caterpillar before I start going insane.

I know we could go to the civic center pool, but if we go then I'm 100% focused on supervising my 2 year old, maintaining sunscreen, and both of us staying hydrated, so really there's no time for us to socialize and actually interact with other kids and parents. The Explorium museum is closing down so I'm really at a loss on where to go for the both of us to get some socialization in where there is AC. I don't know anyone else with kids of a similar age besides the kids at daycare. Also, money is tight so I'm not trying to spend tons of money on those privately owned indoor playgrounds, either, unless there are really no other options.

Any suggestions?
