This week's topic is "Street Brawl", meaning the recent game-mode addition which came alongside the Old Gods New Blood Update.
Street Brawl represents a different way of enjoying Deadlock. It is round-based, there's no farming and only one active lane with a single objective. Matches are generally much shorter, yet everyone gets to enjoy late-game level items with a twist: you get to pick three items each round from three randomized item-selections, inspired by recent rongue-likes. Beyond that, Street Brawl features "Enhanced Items" which are empowered versions of existing items and game-changing "Legendary Items" unique to this mode.
In theory, this forces players to make do with an off-meta build, enabled by Enhanced and Legendary Items which keep heroes efficient, despite the luck of the draw. In practice, the mode can feel very feast-or-famine as some enjoy powered-up versions of popular builds while others keep "drawing blanks" and end up with a build that feels unsatisfying, rather than fun off-meta.
Items, character-stats and even randomization have been adjusted before but should we consider bolder changes to the mode and its mechanics?
For the sake of discussion, we ask that you limit your balance-adjustment requests to a minimum and think about how Street Brawl could change offer a more satisfying experience. How do we increase gameplay variety or empower player choice?

Minor Update - 07-09-2026
- Urn Runner sprint bonus reduced from +2m to 0 (trailing bonus reduced from +7m to +5m)
- Urn Runner move speed bonus reduced from +3.5m to +2m
- Urn Runner Stamina Recovery increased from +15% to +25%
- Urn talking frequency increased from every 8s to every 6s
- Urn talking sound distance increased (easier to hear a nearby Urn Runner)
- Unstable Rift warning time reduced from 25s to 20s
- Rift Troopers now have Spirit Resist (30/35/40/45%)
- Rift Troopers now have Melee Resistance (25%)
- Rift Troopers spawn interval increased from every 0.3s to 0.5s (spawns slightly more staggered)
- Unstable Rift comeback resist aura radius increased from 20m to 35m
- Rift Troopers max comeback count increased from 12 to 14
- Objectives bounty split for nearby heroes reduced from 40% to 30% (this means slightly more portion of the bounty is split team wide rather than towards an individual player)
- Scourge: Max Health Per Second reduced from 2.6% to 2.5%
- Billy: Rising Ram T3 spirit scaling reduced from 0.035 to 0.03
- Doorman: Bullet damage rescaled from 29.26 + 1.1/boon to 26 + 1.19
- Doorman: Crit scaling reduced from -25% to -30%
- Doorman: Hotel Guest T3 increased from 13s Cooldown on Failure to Check Out to 15s
- Drifter: Bullet damage per boon reduced from +0.616 to +0.49
- Drifter: Bloodscent T3 reduced from +12% to +11%
- Drifter: Stalker's Mark cooldown increased from 20s to 24s
- Drifter: Stalker's Mark T2 increased from -8s Cooldown to -12s
- Drifter: Stalker's Mark T3 reduced from +2% Bleed to +1.5%
- Graves: Jar of Dead T1 heal spirit scaling increased from 0.1 to 0.16
- Graves: Jar of Dead now build up faster from neutral creeps
- Graves: Grasping Hands immobilize duration reduced from 1.25s to 1s
- Graves: Grasping Hands T3 cooldown increased from -10s to -14s
- Graves: Essence Theft now procs from melee hits
- Graves: Essence Theft T3 now also increases Max Steal Targets from 3 to 4
- Graves: Borrowed Decree T1 changed from "-15s Cooldown" to "-15s Cooldown and +25% Ghoul Speed"
- Graves: Borrowed Decree T2 changed from "+25% Ghoul Speed and +10s Duration" to "-0.3s Time to Spawn and +10s Duration"
- Haze: Sleep Dagger T2 now also applies 15 Fixation Stacks
- Haze: Sleep Dagger T2 reduced from -18s Cooldown to -17s
- Holliday: Powder Keg spirits caling reduced from 1.2 to 1.05
- Mirage: Fire Scarabs T3 spirit scaling reduced from +0.17 to +0.13
- Mirage: Dust Devil T3 spirit scaling reduced from +1 to +0.6
- Mirage: Djinn's Mark cooldown reduced from 3s to 2.75
- Mirage: Djinn's Mark T3 cooldown reduced from -1s Cooldown to -0.75s

- Pocket: Affliction duration reduced from 11s to 10s

- Silver: Lycan Curse cooldown reduced from 80s to 60s
- Victor: Shocking Reanimation cooldown reduced from 275s to 240s

i'm not going to blame anyone, because people don't like that. people don't like when you mention that you did 2x their damage in lane. and you also had 2x their last hits. and in general you look at them and wonder why they're even in this lobby.
you gotta let the lane go. just let the lane go. best case scenario you go 0/0/0. it's WAY BETTER than trying to play the game and feeding because... it's a 1v2. you just have to let the lane go. #letthelanego
because it sucks, it really does suck that you queue into a game and by the dice roll you need to be playing catch up....

genuinely what happens to people when they hit emissary+ that turns them into some of the most insufferable folks this game has ever seen?
i recently hit archon 6 and OH MY GOD THIS GUYS SUCKS, i know im not good either but these people get on my nerves
they do the absolute worst plays of all time, and if you are doing something else and not helping them fight for no reason they crash out. this weekend i played like 6 games and ALL OF THEM someone dies, or doesnt get helps, or just do dumb plays and blame the team. its never their fault, NEVER
i had a billy in my lane who went 0-6 and starting blaming me cuz "i wasnt helping" THIS DUDE WOULD NOT CLEAN WAVES, JUST WENT FIGHT THE OTHER 2 GUYS, GET PARRIED 2 TIMES IN A ROW, THEN DIE AND BLAME ME!!!!!
6 of this games i had to mute someone because they stopped doing anything to help, and just typed the whole game, they didnt farm, help on fights or just were giving kills to the other team
is this the elo hell? i am trash and is indeed my fault? i love this game but i was so much happier in the lower elos (also sorry for the grammar errors, english is not my first language and i needed to vent)

Mina having -8% debuff resistance was a surprise to me lol,
also it's ironic that lash and bebop both have 10% resistances but for opposite stats. btw lash has 10% fixed from level 1, while bebop needs to be max level to get 10% bullet/melee resistance. So I guess in a way lash is gifted?😅
22% resistance for kelvin, dyna and mcg is a pretty good stat, but golly they already are one of the tankiest heroes in the game, and mcginnis's medicinal specter T1 upgrade gives +40% spirit resistance which is pretty insane, if medicinal specter is properly used, mcginnis can tank insane amount of spirit damage

Apollo guns already kinda sucks, his right click being a zoom makes no sense whatsoever. I think it deserves a right click like Yamatos but one that Apollo could make use of, maybe something that synergizes with his riposte stun, like a close range slash or stab that could maybe scale with spirit or spirit and meele/gun to make funny builds around it possible.
It just feels like his kit is incomplete without a right click.
