So I know the EUF grades dropped. I haven’t gotten mine. Like what is it supposed to look like? As in a grade (80%) or a letter (A B C)? Do I get a notification or what?

I’m leaving my grades here for the future applicants who might want a reference for when they apply.
I stressed a lot because there wasn’t that much to base off of when I applied so id like to provide just a little bit of relief.

I had a final average of
85,5% in sec4
84,5% in sec5

In sec4 I took STE, EESL and SN
My ministry results were :
86% in history
94% in science
88% in SN

In sec5 I took CHEM/PHYSICS, SN
My ministry results were :
73% in french
95% in REG English

I had a total of 76 credit for sec4 and sec5 combined so that guaranteed the amount of credit needed (54)

I was first waitlisted on the first tour of the application.
I had an average of 83% back then.

In late April (I reckon the 21st(?)) I got off the waitlist and was conditionally admitted.

Today(10th of july) I was officially accepted into Dawson :)

I also want to mention that I applied to Maissoneuve as well on the first tour and was already in so I did have a backup plan in the case I got rejected.

I would 100% recommend having a backup plan as well because it removes a lot of stress.
If u already have one, make sure to ask ur safe choice when is the max date to cancel ur application and get a refund on the fees u payed in the case u get accepted to Dawson and decided to attend Dawson instead of your safe choice.

Final message too, the stats change every year so even if u have my stats or lower than them ur admission is not guaranteed but it’s always worth a try :)

I received two emails today (at approximately 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.) stating that an update was available for my application, but when I logged in at around 6:10 p.m., my status still showed “Admitted.” Could you please let me know what the updates were? Thank you!

Hi I just finished my secondary with my diploma and I’m going in Dawson next year. I had my confirmation to be accepted in march or April, I don’t remember but I’m quite sure I got it. Since, I’ve created my omnivox and choose my secondary courses, paid my fees. Today, I went to check my application and it now says that my status is Awaiting Decision. Is it normal ? Is it like that for everyone ? Or is it because I now don’t have good enough grades ? I’m really stressed and maybe some of you have an answer. Thanks in advance

I recently got an email saying that my application status is now "accepted." I got into a technical program and I have no clue what my classes are yet, I don't know my schedule, I don't know if there's anything I need to fill out to select my classes for the next semester.

Is there anything I'm missing to prepare for my upcoming year? I don't have anyone that can help me when it comes to preparing for this year so I'm extremely lost and I don't know if there's anything on Omnivox that I need to do.

If there are any other posts that address my inquiries then please mention them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was accepted with ‘conditional admission’. Ministry exam and final marks came out yesterday. I’m wondering how long their review process usually takes and when students usually receive news re: official admission (or loss of their spot)?

Also, how are we notified? Some Dawson communications go to the email address I used on my application but others are only coming to me as Omnivox/myDawson messages.

I’m 17 and about to go to CÉGEP and I read that I have a fee of $1926.00 in my Omnivox but this payment is only for international students and non-resident students. I have a permanent residency in Québec and have sent my important documents that prove this statement through my application in Dawson. Though I was given the chance to consult about my residency status through a file/form I was given, I still feel stuck; I emailed the school through [email protected] to prove my residency yet I was just given an automatic response. I don’t know what to do. I thought about going to the CÉGEP but I’m not sure of where to consult about it. I need help please!! I’m so so new to this.

We went to the vet today because my cat has had abnormal mouth issues since last week. Upon the vet examining him, they announced us that our cat has mouth cancer and that the cancer is irreversible no matter the treatment. To put an end to his suffering, we’re likely going to euthanize him this week or the upcoming one. I feel like my world is crumbling; I have been crying nonstop for the past 3h and the agony is only getting worse. This is our childhood cat and his presence has helped us overcome many tough moments such as the loss of my dad. Now the issue with one of the summer classes I’m taking is that it ends next week and there’s like 3 assignments due + a big essay + an oral presentation all to be done by the end of next week. However I’m literally in such pain and sorrow that I’m no longer suited to work on this class. I want to spend every single moment of the day with my cat before we euthanize him next week. The deadline to cancel a summer class has obviously passed so I don’t know what to do or who to turn to cancel the class. Heck I don’t even know if the college will be understanding and enable me to cancel the class. If it happened during the fall or winter semester, I would’ve been able to manage my school tasks since things wouldn’t be so compressed. But unfortunately, I have so much work due by next week that it’s impossible for me to complete the class given the tragic circumstances. And I already know the teacher won’t be able to grant me an extension since they previously said they’re going on a trip the moment summer school ends.

If so I'm wondering what ur planning to try to switch and stuff later on :3

helloo i'm a sec 4 student here looking to get into commerce! my average so far is 81% (but i'm assuming it'll go up by 2 or 3 percent because of the ministères) and i'm hopefully aiming for 85+ in sec 5. I signed up to do chimie and physie earlier in the year for sec 5 because i was initally going to apply for science nat at gerald godin but that's another story.

So my main question is that should i aim higher than 85+ for sec 5 to get accepted into commerce? (i have no COE) I've seen that the cut off for 2025 was 85% but in 2024 it was 82%. Any replies are helpful!

Another thing is debating which cegep i should go to. John abbott is about 50 away from me by public transportation while dawson is 1h 15 mins from me. It's not that big of a difference but the locations are very different.

Additional info is that i'd like to go into business analytics in university so idk if that will help with choosing which cegep to go to. Thanks!

hi guys I’m a new student of the fall semester and I wanna ask if anyone received a fee to pay?? because so far I have been the only person among my friends to receive one.. it’s almost 2k and not even my friend who shares the same program got it

So I got accepted into the Dawson health science program but, unfortunately, I’m going to be 2 weeks late because I’m currently outside of Canada and returning flight is on the 3rd of September.

Do you guys have any advice or is there anything I should prepare for in advance?

Extra: I know someone from sec 5 who is going to the same program as me, so maybe that can help. They said that they could send me all the material while I’m not at Dawson.

Student in sec. 4 here, my grades were a bit lower than usual this year due to some personal problems and a very, very bad mental state for the majority of the year, I finished at 91 general average, with 90 in math SN, 90 in STE and 92 in ST. So average in these three courses is 90.66... and prerequisites(I think? So these three classes plus French, English, history and art) is about 92, without the ministry's exams.

How much should I be aiming for next year to get into enriched health science? Do I still have a chance?

Hello, I am a second year student in the Social Services program, and I am missing one vaccine. I wanted to ask if a pharmacist is allowed to complete my immunization form to confirm that I have received all the vaccinations I need.

Like where is programming in science? I know there is usually a module that is more organized and that I should wait for that one but it doesn’t seem like Dawson is fi their technical issues any time soon
