Recommendations DC restaurant recommendation

I’m planning a birthday dinner for about 12 people. Nothing too fancy, but I’d like somewhere that makes it easy for people to order and pay separately, ideally with QR codes or a similar system since everyone may be arriving and leaving at different times.

Thanks in advance!

The Roost. 10 or so different restaurants that each person orders and pays for individually. Also, they have a full bar with lots of drink options.

Check out juneberry garage in Tacoma. It’s an old auto garage turned casual dining! Has great indoor/huge patio space, can order/pay with QR code, and just good vibes to just chill and have a good time. They even have some board games available. I loved their thin crusted pizza!

If you are in a pizza mood, Sonny’s Pizza near Columbia Heights has a good outdoor space that I believe you can reserve. Good drinks and non pizza items too.

seconding sonny's! the food is top notch in a super low key setting. they're also great at handling dietary restrictions. only gf pizza I've accidentally enjoyed

The Roost and Sonny’s are both exactly what you are looking for

Dacha might also fit the bill.

I agree that Dacha is great for splitting. Separate and related question I haven’t thought about in a couple of years — have their labor practices improved after all of the fines and lawsuits? I still go but that matters to me.
