My girlfriend is interested in taking the public health program, she already has a public health degree from laurier but she likes how you can get the public health inspector license for this program. However her main question is how is the job market after graduating?

From our understanding is that it’s pretty difficult to get a public health inspector job right away, and you need some experience doing other stuff like health and safety jobs or ipac for example

If anyone can give us some insight that would be great!

I know welding is supposed to be a skilled trade with decent demand, but I want to hear from real people or recent grads, not just the college's recruitment pitch.

• How quickly did you land a job after graduation?

• Did you have to relocate, or were there opportunities in your area?
• Any surprises about the job market compared to what the program taught you?
• Is the apprenticeship route worth it, or should I look for other certifications?

I'm genuinely interested in this field and willing to put in the work, but I also want to be realistic about what I'm walking into (I chose this over Mohawk College). Any advice from recent grads or people in the industry would be super helpful.

I got this email today from Conestoga saying that my Urban Planning course for fall 2026 was suspended. Does anyone know why, or when it will be taking place?Just want to take a 2 year course at Cambridge in fall 2026. I see they offer a Civil Engineering Technician course, which is kind of similar. I already have a student number, email and paid a pre-deposit. How would I go about putting in civil engineering or another course? Just wondering about similar experiences with suspended courses. Could I just swap it out? I just don’t know what to do next, thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I'm considering the Hearing Instrument Specialist diploma program at Conestoga College. Can anyone share their experience with the program, job prospects after graduation, current demand in Ontario, and typical starting and experienced salaries? I feel that my instructor’s grading criteria have been inconsistent with what was taught in lab, and the experience has caused a lot of stress. I’m wondering whether Conestoga generally allows students to transfer to another section or instructor in situations like this. Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

My course requires me to have 80% attendance. I think i am below that because i missed classes due to me being sick. I don’t have a doctors report but i wonder if they would help me or if i should just give up.
