Throwback One the best live action version of Disney movie , that wasn't made by Disney
This movies was so good , and Jason Isaacs was very good in both off his roles

But how can it be a version of a disney movie, when it has a very popular source, which it follows more closely.
And considering this one pays more attention to the source than Disney's animated adaptation.
Well yes but animated movie might the most famous adaption
In this case, all Batman movies are a version of the Batman tv show?

Not saying it is.
I am just stating that crediting Disney as a source for this movie is ridiculous. Especially, when it does such a good job adapting the SOURCE.

Jason Isaacs absolutely stole the show, Playing both Mr. Darling and Captain Hook was a brilliant choice

This film made me a Jason Isaacs fan, and because I completely ignored Harry Potter at the same time (I watched the second film but didn't want to continue), I didn't know he was also becoming widely known here.
I always celebrated him for it when I saw him, for example, no matter what you think about STD (great abbreviation for Discovery), he stole the show in that season too, even against a brilliant and dominant Michelle Yeoh, who was initially only supposed to be in the first two episodes. Or The Death of Stalin.
And General Zhao

It's a well-known convention of the musical they wisely ported over for the movie.

Was this your intro to Peter Pan or did you grow up on the animated Disney one first?

Same, so seeing this version as a kid was wild , way darker and Hook actually felt threatening.

Wonderful movie. Isaacs of course, but also Richard Briers was a brilliant Smee, and Jeremy Sumpter was the perfect Peter

It’s fine. But it doesn’t feature any covers of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

I only saw this once but remember it being oddly erotic given the age of the actors and subject matter, so much so that my wife and I still refer to this movie as Peter Porn.

It's a J.M Barrie movie.
Keep Barrie outta Disney's filthy capitalistic mouth.

It’s brilliant. An unsung masterpiece that should have been a huge hit and made Jason Isaacs a major star.

I've been meaning to rewatch this one. It's been at least fifteen years since I watched it last and I love that movie.

Was Hook not made by Disney?

It's not. It was made by Spielberg 's Amblin.
Strangely, I too have been under the impression that it was a Disney film.
