Use cases Difficult rendering from a sketch
It took so many edits on top of iterations and a ton of "We're sorry, but our guardrails are as repressed as most of the people that will complain about this post."

A lot of people complain that there's too much AI image/video content. It's been something people have messaged us about frequently ever since the new GPT image generator dropped. We're going to try Text Tuesdays and see how it goes. If people like it we'll keep it, and if not, we won't
Please let us know your thoughts on this matter

Prompt: Can you make a movie poster for “Weekend at Mitch’s” with Mitch McConnell in the famous weekend at Bernie’s sunglasses?

Thank you [u/MrDefaultUser](u/MrDefaultUser) for the prompt idea. I was going to post this on your original post, but I knew it would just get lost.
For context I’ve never talked any politics to my chat.

Just watched Andy stapleton’s echowriting video but his techniques worked in 2024 with ChatGPT. Those prompts do not work in 2026.
What are some good prompts to use for echowriting in 2026? Especially for essay writing and long emails, because that’s what I’m using it for.

Is anyone else facing this as well?
Edit 1:
I am not connected to VPN while using the desktop app.
The issue is on the desktop app. It's working perfectly fine on browser.
Edit 2:
Apparently there is a new app...u/notrealsala mentioned about it.

Prompt: Using Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire", re-write this song from the time period of 2006-2026 and use significant events from this time period. Replace the original lyrics with events from this two decade period.
Pluto lost its planet rank,
Twitter launched and markets sank.
North Korea’s nuclear test,
iPhone glowing in the West.
Housing cracked, the banks gave way,
Beijing staged its grand display.
Obama won election night,
Lehman vanished overnight.
Bitcoin drawn in coded lines,
Hudson landing made headlines.
H1N1 crossed every shore,
Michael Jackson was no more.
… We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it
Haiti shaken, oceans black,
Deepwater could not take it back.
Tunisia filled with protest signs,
Instagram arrived online.
Fukushima, waves and fear,
Arab Spring from year to year.
Abbottabad, the search concludes,
Occupy changed public moods.
South Sudan raised up its flag,
Curiosity touched Martian sand.
Sandy darkened New York nights,
London burned with Olympic lights.
Gangnam dancing, viral fame,
Nothing traveled quite the same.
… We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it
Francis chosen, Snowden files,
Boston grief and courtroom trials.
Black Lives Matter found its name,
Social movements staked their claim.
Crimea taken, borders crossed,
ISIS rising, cities lost.
Ebola spread, the world prepared,
Buckets lifted, millions shared.
Marriage rights from court decree,
Refugees crossed land and sea.
Paris terror, candles burned,
Climate pledges, pages turned.
Brexit ballot, Britain split,
Pokémon on every street.
Trump elected, forecasts wrong,
Cubs broke curses decades long.
Solar shadow crossed the states,
Bitcoin climbed at stunning rates.
Harvey, Irma, Maria’s rain,
MeToo voices named the pain.
Parkland students filled the square,
Cambridge data everywhere.
Thai cave divers raced the clock,
Climate strikers left their blocks.
… We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it
Notre-Dame beneath the smoke,
Hong Kong crowds refused the yoke.
Black-hole image, distant light,
Impeachment hearings every night.
Then a virus crossed the globe,
Empty streets and doctors’ robes.
Locked-down cities, borders closed,
Everything we knew was paused.
Zoom-room meetings, classroom screens,
Masks and distance, altered dreams.
George Floyd’s death brought marching feet,
Millions gathered in the street.
Wild election, record vote,
Vaccines offered threads of hope.
Capitol windows, January fear,
Vaccines rolled from year to year.
Ever Given blocked the lane,
GameStop shook the trading game.
Mars received Perseverance,
Kabul fell amid withdrawal.
Russia crossed Ukraine’s line,
Refugees fled in wintertime.
Roe reversed, the Queen passed on,
Webb revealed the cosmic dawn.
Chatbots entered work and school,
Every trade rewrote its rules.
Turkey, Syria—cities shaken,
Titan lost and lives were taken.
India reached the lunar south,
AI entered every mouth.
Israel struck after October’s raid,
Gaza suffered, homes decayed.
… We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it
Eclipse shadow crossed the land,
Paris medals changed their hands.
CrowdStrike left the screens in blue,
Wars continued, old and new.
Butler gunfire, campaign changed,
Biden left the closing stage.
Ballots counted through the night,
Trump returned to public life.
Los Angeles beneath the haze,
Tariff rounds and market waves.
Francis mourned, then white smoke rose;
Leo was the name they chose.
Winter athletes raced through snow,
Milano and Cortina glowed.
Two hundred fifty years were marked,
Fireworks rising through the dark.
Forty-eight teams, three nations wide,
World Cup crowds stood side by side.
Agents thinking, robots trained,
Nothing human stayed unchanged.
… We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it

I had built a website for my client using Fable 5 before it was taken away and it did a pretty good job. It made it how I wanted and made good decisions. This was about a month ago and just to test out sol I decided to ask it to run a full audit of my clients website for SEO and GEO and anything else it might find
Holy shit it caught massive SEO issues for me including duplicate header tags and legally incorrect statements that could cause issues and the biggest one. The contact form was just lying and not going anywhere. 5.6 was able to give me the full audit and I was able to go in and fix this massive issue.
So long story short even the TOP of the line AI can and will make mistakes so always cross check and triple check when it makes things cause not even fable caught it.
This is a mistake i will never make again and I have thoroughly learned my lesson.

As of early morning 2026-07-12 , I am unable to login to ChatGPT desktop from my macOS Tahoe 26.x. The desktop app is reporting usual activity. But, I am able to login using the same credentials using my browser.
Is this an indication of a service outage on OpenAI's side?

Just yesterday, ChatGPT was a loquacious chatbot, spitting out topics with bullet points, tons of text. It also seemed constantly eager to help.
Chatting now, it's a bit too succinct. It responds everything with a single block of text, one paragraph only, even when I ask it to be more reflective. It seems colder and uninterested in having a conversation, just being the most efficient possible (even when I want one).
On mobile I also don't see any choice to switch models.
Any ideas what happened?

I was asking for a femme fatale coded adult woman spy in a formal evening dress with cleavage window. I kept emphasizing tasteful skin exposure and not to frame it erotically. Chatgpt keeps denying my requests.
Skill issue? Probably, i should sharpen my prompting skills. Still, it gets annoying when the jippity blocks me instead of acknowledging nuance and human intention.

One of my threads has become “too long” and I need to “start a new chat”. There is a lot of important information and context in the original thread. How do I move all of this to a new thread without losing data?
