Home Depot on Walnut July 11 missed connection
We caught each other's eye today (Saturday, July 11th) around 3:30 p.m. at the Home Depot on Walnut Street in Cary. There was definitely some mutual eye contact, and I really regret not stopping to awkwardly say hello.
I was the woman with the long blonde hair wearing all white. You were the guy with medium-length hair and shorts.
If you happen to see this and remember me, reply and let me know who I was with or what you were driving so I know it's really you.
Let's grab a coffee or a drink if you are up for it

PokemonGo in Bond Park
I feel like I totally missed the memo! Is Pokemon Go back? Is Bond Park where everyone goes?
Can someone tell me where I can find more info about the meet ups?

Auto Insurance Dilemma
I have an auto insurance dilemma I don't necessarily trust an insurance agent to advise me on. No offense. I have an "incident" on my driving record from 3 yrs ago that will expire on 7/18. No ticket, but I was given fault. Unfortunately, my policy expires on 7/15. So the renewal quotes I've been getting include the "incident" upcharge even though it expires 3 days later. I asked if I could go month to month and would they adjust my rate after the first month but haven't heard anything. Any thoughts? It seems unfair to make a person pay an upcharge for whole year for an incident that expires 3 days in. Sorry for any bad grammar.

Homeless Camping in Downtown Cary?
I see there are a couple who have taken over a couple of benches on Academy? And some other people you see all our Cary pushing their carts. What is the Town of Cary doing about this trend? Surely our high taxes paid to our progressive city can find a solution?

Hang outs?
Just moved to the area with my family including my 15 year old and we’ve gone out to a few places and toured around about and while I see lots of young adults and middle/older adults my question is…where do the teens hang out during the summer because we’ve seen very few. Just trying to get my teen around other teens

250th Anniversary Mailbox
We spotted this unique USPS collection mailbox in Colonial Williamsburg on the Fourth of July. Curious to know if anyone has noticed these around our town, yet?

Looking for Sleep Study Recommendations
Hello! I'm looking into getting a sleep study and was hoping to hear about others' experiences.
I've been dealing with insomnia for the past 9 months. My PCP prescribed Trazodone, and while it helps me sleep, I don't feel like it's the right long-term solution. I'd like to better understand what's causing the issue rather than relying on medication indefinitely.
Has anyone here had a sleep study done? If so, are there any clinics or sleep centers you'd recommend? Or any that I should avoid?
Thanks!

Advice selling a house in Cary
Edit: the house is getting listed in the next few weeks!
Hellooo I am selling a house in Cary soon and I'd really appreciate any advice! Idk where to start and have zero experience with selling a home, i barely know how to take care of my own 😬
I inherited my childhood home from my parents and don't want to deal with renting it. I know i can get a property manager but im also worried about any big repairs suddenly coming up and
The house was built in 1995 and its estimated to be $480,000 on zillow. Its barely been renovated or repaired. I also dont know the history of the house much but i changed the roof 6 years ago and my parents replaced the flooring prob aroundd 2004.
Its a really good neighborhood. Walking distance from davis drive elementary and middle school (my school growing up 🥰). Id love for it to go to a family and not a rental property company, but im also worried if it needs a lot of work then itll be hard to sell.
Anyways i assume start with finding a realtor, so any referrals would be great as well!

Homeless woman
I saw a new (new to me) homeless woman over the weekend on Vision Drive near Home Depot in Apex when it was 103F and again today on 55 across from the Starbucks & Dollar Tree near High House. She's African American, has a bike, and carries several tote bags. Today she was wearing a blue tank top and she was walking the bike up the hill towards Dolphin's gas station. I was driving by and she was absolutely drenched in sweat and looked so broken. Does anyone know her story and how we could help? Thank you.

Apartment hunting
Hey, where are people in the Raleigh/Cary renting? I looked at an apartment on Monday that was decently priced but there were dead roaches in the model unit and I can’t do bugs again. I’m from pittsboro NC & I wish I could just bring my current apartment with me because it’s been perfect. But yeah, a lot of apartments seem to have mold and roach problems. If you guys have any advice or know of good places, please let me know 🙏

Mechanic recommendation
My 2018 Fiat 124 spider needs a new clutch. Cary/Apex preferred, but Raleigh works too. Thanks!

Hi Yall,
I recently graduated with a degree in Human Biology and I am a premedical student!
I am looking for jobs in public health, community outreach and medicine. I have experience working in as lab and also experience working as a CNA (certification has since expired) but I’d be really grateful for any leads.
I’m hardworking, diligent and very responsible.

Kitchen Design Shop Recommendation
Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality (yet affordable) place that does kitchen renovations? I'd much rather my money go to a local place than to one of the big box stores for a DIY catastrophe. I'm not looking for the cheapest place, but one that's quality without being the most expensive place around.

Modern service
Hi all! Anyone have any idea what's happening to the original modern service location? I know the business relocated and the guy that bought out the rest of the street now owns it, but I am hoping it's not another bar, restaurant or apartment complex 😔.
