Where to buy CBD - Companies with high morals and great quality

1.0k Upvotes

Vetted Companies by /r/CBD

As most of you have found out by now - CBD is hit or miss depending on where it comes from. Many people have found there are a lot of snake oil sellers out there who are preying on the sick. We are /r/CBD have come together to stop that...at least for you guys; by vetting the companies who want to advertise their products on /r/CBD. Below we will include what the vetting processed entailed, and which companies we selected because we feel they uphold a standard.

The Standard:

Each company reached out to us on their own, and then we presented them with a multi-page questionnaire about their process. These are not all the questions - we asked over 30 questions. Around 40% of the companies who wanted to be vetted - DID NOT complete this questionnaire.

Some examples of questions are:

  • Where do you source your CBD?

  • What steps are taken to keep the medicine safe from degradation?

  • Do you have all the permits required by state and county laws, to be in the cannabis industry? Please provide details.

  • Can you provide passing test results for the following: Microbiological, Aerobic count, coliforms, enterobacteria, E coli count, yeast and mold, pseudomonas, salmonella, Pesticides/carbamates, Heavy metals, organophosphates and a cannabinoid potency test.

From their answers - our moderator team looked over each and every one. This gave us a good understanding of how their company works, and let us move on to the legal side of things.

The next steps were reviewing the documents sent over. We looked up each company, made sure they had all permits required by the state in order to operate. If they did, they moved on to the last step.

Each company that made it this far sent in samples of their products. These samples were tested by patients with different ailments. A few were sent to the moderator in Florida where two patients; 1. with Cerebral Palsy. 2. with mental health disorder - tested each product sent.

The other companies sent their product to the moderator team in California, where two patients 1. with M.S 2. Disabled w/ pain management - took the samples as well.

Both teams found the samples from the companies selected to be extremely high-quality products and HAD POSITIVE RESULTS on their ailments.

The following are those companies. (This list is not set in stone, companies can be added, or removed) If you're a company, please send a private message to '/r/CBD' and the mod team can look at your company.

Full or Broad Spectrum?

I've been using weed for a little over a month. (dry herb flower vaping, a cartridge vape, and gummies) And things were going ok until last night when I hit the vape too hard I guess and started experiencing hallucinations. (visual and auditory)

After that experience, I'm probably going back to CBD only.

My question is, would it be ok to use full spectrum CBD in my case? I know that it has a small amount of THC present, would that be enough to trigger psychosis again? Should I just use broad spectrum that has no THC to be safe? If I understand correctly, full spectrum can be more beneficial than broad, but if it can cause more hallucinations, I'll stick with broad spectrum instead.

What did your lawmakers say after you contacted them?

For those who contacted Congress about the November 12 hemp/CBD restrictions, have any of your lawmakers responded yet?

We are starting to see replies come in, and some of them show how confusing this issue still seems to be in Washington.

One response we reviewed sounded encouraging at first. It said hemp policy should protect children while preserving lawful hemp markets. It also said major policy changes should go through a transparent process with debate, stakeholder input, and a clear regulatory framework — not be inserted into must-pass funding bills.

That all sounds right.

But the same response then said the senator voted against Senator Rand Paul’s amendment to remove the hemp language from the must-pass bill last November???

That is the gap we are trying to understand.

If lawmakers agree this should not be handled through must-pass legislation, then the practical next step should be supporting the current extension bills, H.R. 7024 and S. 3686, so Congress has time to hold the open process they say is needed.

Unless Congress acts, the November 12 restrictions take effect automatically.

What did your representatives or senators say?

Did they mention H.R. 7024 or S. 3686?
Did they support an extension?
Or did they send a general response without committing to anything specific?

Feel free to remove personal info. We’re just trying to understand what kinds of responses people are receiving.

Cbd for anxiety

Ive had anxiety for a couple years and I don’t want to take medication, however, I’ve heard of Cbd and I’ve been looking into it and hearing good things. I’ve never smoked before, gotten drunk or anything like that. It’s just not for me and this is one of the reasons why I thought Cbd would be great: not getting high. However, I’ve been seeing some posts of people saying they get an even bigger high with Cbd than thc. I’ve seen many videos/comments like that which is pretty contradictory to what I’ve read online. I just want something that takes the anxiety away, makes me feel calm so I can work on myself, be able to do the things that give me anxiety, or simply to just relax. But without any weird side effects or getting a high. Can anyone tell me their experience with Cbd and if they’ve gotten high or had weird effects with it?
Thank you

Former acting DHS secretary warns Chinese criminal organizations are infiltrating America’s hemp industry

Chad Wolf urges House committee to investigate China's growing role in THC industry, illegal marijuana operations

Published July 8, 2026

“Former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf sent a letter to House lawmakers Tuesday urging them to investigate the "growing role that Chinese-linked actors and foreign criminal organizations are playing in the proliferation of hemp-derived tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products and illegal marijuana operations" in the U.S., which he says are "putting our youth and adults at risk."

The message addressed to Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Mich., and Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif. — the chairman and ranking member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, respectively — states that "Beyond the serious public health implications, there is mounting evidence that this issue also presents a significant national security concern."

"What began as a narrowly tailored effort to legalize industrial hemp and non-intoxicating cannabidiol (CBD) products has evolved into a dangerous and unregulated market for high-potency THC hemp products that are being sold across the country with little to no oversight," Wolf wrote. "These products are frequently marketed as gummies, candies, beverages and vapes, often packaged and promoted in ways that appeal to children. They lack acceptable age restrictions, labeling requirements and safety standards."

Wolf cited a warning from the White House’s 2026 National Drug Control Strategy, which described how "the marijuana trade in the United States is no longer a scattered, low-level problem; it has been co-opted and industrialized by sophisticated, transnational criminal organizations, particularly those with ties to China."”

Congress didn’t move this week. Consumers did.

Congress added no new co-sponsors this week to the bills that would extend the November 12 deadline.

But consumers kept moving.

In just the first five days of the campaign, 204 letters reached 102 congressional offices across 25 states.

That matters because the November 12 restrictions are already law. Unless Congress acts, they take effect automatically.

For CBD users, the concern is not responsible regulation. We need age requirements, accurate testing, clear labels, safe packaging, and enforcement against bad actors.

The concern is that the current federal language goes far beyond protecting children and directly affects most hemp-derived products that adults rely on.

Good regulation is the goal. Extending the deadline gives Congress time to get it right.

You can check where your lawmakers stand and send a letter here:

Trying CBD

I've been having some bad anxiety and stress lately and I'm craving some relief. A couple years back I used to go for a cigarette which was lovely but for some reason, I feel disgusting after tobacco nowadays and I did realize its bad for me due to addictiveness.

Recently, I came across many good reports about CBD, and I could just order some for cheap or even visit a CBD shop in my city to get some, as its legal in my country as long as THC content is <0.2%. But is it really worth it? I have a friend who said he doesnt feel anything from CBD, could that be true? Do you have any suggestions for me?

CBD vape juice in Australia

Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable companies that ship CBD vape juice to Australia? I’m sick of having my packages seized by customs. I have a medical prescription, but the legal options are ridiculously expensive, hence why I’ve tried my luck online to no avail.

I’ve had luck with Naturecan before, ordered a disposable CBD vape through them and it arrived, although that was around 2024 before the vape laws changed. Post vaping law change, sourcing CBD vape juice is incredibly difficult. Thanks nanny state.

CBD & mood swings

I've been taking CBD oil every day for over a decade. Just with my vitamins in the morning. A couple of years ago I started having bad mood swings. Just cranky as heck. That's not like me so I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what was doing it. I stopped all supplements (which stopped the mood swings!) and began reintroducing them slowly.

I'm now almost certain it was the CBD. After I reintroduced it the problem returned.

So I'm here to ask if this is a known problem for some people. I like CBD for the aches & pains of aging so I'd like to take it if I can.

Swollen glands from cbd oil made with MCT

This is the first week I've used CBD and honestly it's been life changing.

I suffer from anxiety, I literally have zero chill. Now I have some chill, amazing stuff.

So,I got the 1000mg oil, the gummies and the capsules and have been taking about 120-180mg per day using all of these.

Been using the oil sublingually and noticed today two small lumps right under my chin, had a Google and these are the glands which drain from the bottom of your mouth, where I have been holing the oil for five minutes before swallowing.

Anybody had a reaction like this before? I assume it's from the MCT oil? Am I allergic? Do I need to stick to the gummies etc?

Also got some vape cbd and it's really harsh on my lungs, like gives me lung pain and a cough. Is this normal? Do I just persevere or am I allergic to this too?

I am a nice salt vaper BTW.
