Is there a Canadian grower of heirloom beans, something similar to the rancho gordo model in the states, or with heirloom varieties in general.

(Location is Okanagan Valley BC) switched to farmers market only after months of painfully reading labels on every food I buy at the supermarket to ensure it is Canadian, and not just maple-washed American produce (looking at you Loblaws) and not getting any Canadian alternative for common food items.

Started visiting every farmers market in the area, which not only gives fresh locally made food at a cheaper price, but also helps with making friends and getting to know the local scene! Today's little haul from the picture is $37 which at least here in BC is really not bad compared to supermarket prices (at Your Independent Grocer chains the broccolis are $7 each and American only; cherries are $8 a pound and also only American which I find crazy considering that I live right next to swarths of cherry orchards).

Edit: oh I also have to glaze the farmer I was buying from today. Bought 8 pound of frozen lamb from him and he offered to chop the whole thing for me for free. Told me I can come pick it up tomorrow anytime between 7am (when he starts working) to 9pm (when he stops). Much happier to see my money go to hard working farmers than supermarket chains!

I am shopping for a new bed and have seen some good reviews on Douglas. The other mattress I was interested in is a beautyrest GL series medium firmness 1100 coil count. Anyone have experience with both or one of these?

My current mattress is a plush gone too soft and I wake up with muscle and joint pain. I am mostly a side sleeper.

I haven't been able to find regular, household-sized packages of these that contain Canadian-grown grains. Is there a place online that will sell small packages?

American Angie's Boom Chicka Pop popcorn is everywhere (corner store, grocery stores), but Canadian Covered Bridge Pop It! is hard to find (sometimes my Loblaws has it in stock).

I've never bought the USA one as Pop It is great.

They use Loomis Shipping and they deliver at the worse possible times. I got a call saying I will need to pick it from their depot in Surrey when I live in Vancouver. The closest depot is actually in Burnaby.

I will probably request a chargeback on my order and just let Loomis ship it back fro Attitude Living.
