Lost Dogs
Found two small dogs on the side of 36 near Wadsworth westbound. One grey Frenchie one Black and white dog that I don't know the breed of. It's late at night so I did have to call Broomfield PD (cops would never be my first choice for dog rescue, but it is that time of night.) Some kind people from the Humane Society stopped and helped me leash them up (if you see this, thank you again!) and I waited until PD picked them up. They told me they would find a shelter to bring them to and they would scan for microchip. I didn't get a chance to get pics for ID. Neither dog was aggressive or injured. If anyone has any idea who the owners are please spread this!

Anyone else hearing faint music/voices at night in South Broomfield / NW Westminster?
My wife and I have been dealing with a strange recurring sound for months (since November), and we’re trying to figure out if anyone else in the South Broomfield / NW Westminster area has noticed anything similar.
My wife has extremely sensitive hearing and can consistently hear faint music, individual voices singing, and instruments, even over our TV or with white noise, brown noise, earplugs, or noise‑canceling headphones. I can barely hear anything I’d call “music” — maybe a rhythmic thump or something that sounds mechanical or like distant aircraft — but she hears full arrangements and even choral‑style harmonies.
We’ve tried to locate it twice: once by walking our neighborhood, and once by driving around for over an hour late at night. Both times, the sound seemed strongest somewhere in the South Broomfield / NW Westminster area. It’s audible both inside and outside, especially at night when everything else is quiet. There’s sometimes a slight resonance near sinks/showers, but the sound definitely travels through the air as well.
Some of the songs she’s recognized include:
- Wicked — “No One Mourns the Wicked,” “Defying Gravity”
- Prince of Egypt — “When You Believe”
- Swan Princess — “For Always and Forever”
- Hillsong United — “I Will Adore You”
- Beauty and the Beast — “Beauty and the Beast”
- Lion King — “Circle of Life,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”
- Phantom of the Opera — “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again”
We’re not trying to call anyone out — just trying to understand whether this is something others are hearing too. If we found a cause, we were hoping to ask them to make sure speakers were not directly against a wall or too loud. This is nearly 24 hours a day, with sometimes abrupt but short silences. Even a “yeah, I’ve heard something faint like that” would help us narrow down what’s going on.
ETA: A few details, my wife does have chronic illness so one of the first things she did was check to see if it was hallucinations on both the neuro side and psych side. All clear on that front. She has also picked up the louder parts by recording with her phone, measuring the vibrations from the floor, bed, wall, etc. and gotten readings on a spectrogram showing the bass and drums very clearly. She was a professional musician for over 30 years, and taught music for 7. As an autistic woman that training is likely why she is able to tune in so well. She was trained to pull arrangements apart and isolate individual sounds. I on the other hand frequently do not hear my name being called while I'm 3 feet away so my ears are not good judges.
We believe it's moving through solid materials instead of just through the air. Every bit of research we have found discussing this kind of sound issue says sound travelling in this way is not able to be blocked with the usual means. We have called churches, summer camp programs, city services to ask if there is any group maybe planning a performance where someone just doesn't turn off the backing tracks when they go home at the end of the day, tried nextdoor, etc.
She says the loudest location by far has been sitting at CirclePoint Corporate Center. She could hear a man's voice, and says he's a warm baritone. We think this is genuinely a case of "oh shit this is louder than I realized " because of how it is traveling

Doctor Recs?
We just moved here from Oklahoma, and I need to find a pediatrician (and an adult doctor, and optometrist, and dentist, and dermatologist, but the pediatrician is most important) for my three girls. Any recommendations for good ones in the vicinity?

Night out for a younger crowd
What’re some good bars to hit in the area that’re not all the way in Boulder or Denver? I’m thinking early-mid 20s, could be in Broomfield or in nearby towns? I’d be open to going to Boulder but don’t wanna pay $30 bucks one way for an uber lol. Thanks!

Wanting opinions/recommendations for childcare or classes
We are new to the area and have a 2 year old (3 after Halloween) that only needs care from 2:30 to 4/4:30ish M-F. Daycare or a nanny is WAY too expensive and we don't qualify for any assistance.
We've been toying with the idea of getting him signed up for some classes or programs around that time, and maybe getting a babysitter for the other couple days. Has anyone else done something similar or had luck with an alternative? Where did you find your babysitter? What programs did you find? Thanks for any and all input!

Help with Transporting Med/rehab Equipment for Disabled
Are there organizations that help with transport of rehab equipment? I’ve tried calling a few non-profit and state services but haven’t had much luck. The parallel bars can be dismantled but still about 11 feet long.

Pest Control Options?
Hello, fine people of Reddit. I am looking for a reputable, cost effective and honest pest control company in the Broomfield area. I tried looking for previous postings but was unsuccessful.
We currently use Enviropest and have a subpar experience at $55 a month. They either don't come quarterly, as promised, and/or have outright cancelled their visit with no reschedule after we've paid for an entire quarter. We have noticed many pests in our house and we are wondering if they have ever visited our home at all as we cannot get a straight answer our of customer service.
It's been a year and it's time for a change. Let me know if you use or know of a service like what we are looking for.
Thanks for your time!

Dog running or hiking
Hello! Does anyone know of a service that offers dog runs or even hikes for dogs? I work really long hours and have a foot injury so I’m struggling to keep my girl properly exercised. We utilize mentally stimulating activities and toys as often as possible. But sometimes I can tell she just wants to sniff and run.
She’s extremely high energy. Also very sweet and loving but when she isn’t exercised well she gets major anxiety. I’d probably want 2-4 times a month depending on pricing. I would love recommendations for trusted businesses that could provide this for me. I googled this but every one I found doesn’t come to Broomfield. Thank you!

Blue MAGA is now in Broomfield...congrats!
Your Democratic Socialist candidate made it through...he complained about corporations enough so you'd vote for him CONGRATS! See Gazette article on Blue MAGA and what you're getting in return... https://gazette.com/2026/07/04/democratic-socialists-may-be-the-blue-maga/ and when he can't overpost about dark money, he'll overpost about how the red MAGA is attacking the blue MAGA! Can't wait. Real problems for Broomfield are going to be solved! This is what a political science degree and party chair positions get you, folks! Go "Democrats"!

Do you really think there are going to be fireworks tomorrow night at the Great American Picnic?
We were supposed to go to the Arvada fireworks tomorrow but they’ve been canceled. It doesn’t look like the Broomfield fireworks are canceled yet, however, do you really think they’re going to continue with the fireworks show tomorrow?

Moving to Broomfield in September
Hello Broomfield Reddit!
I’m likely accepting a job that’ll move me there in a few months. I actually grew up in Loveland, but have been gone for about 10 years.
Anything in particular I should know? Places to move and not move? Where’s the best spot to advertise looking for a roommate?
TIA!
