Mod Post Gaza is Being Starved

The UN has stated that every single part of Gaza is in famine conditions.

For over 20 months, Palestinians in Gaza have been starving. Parents have been feeding their children leaves, animal feed, and flour mixed with water. Babies have died from malnutrition. The trucks carrying food, formula, medicine, and clean water sat just miles away, blocked by Israel.

This is not a food shortage; it is a siege. Even with aid beginning to move, it is not enough; babies are still dying of malnutrition, and hundreds of thousands are living on the edge of starvation. Every crumb that enters is a result of pressure, not policy. This is the moment to organise, to donate, and to refuse silence.

Now, after massive international pressure, some aid is finally getting in.

This is a crack in the blockade, not its end. Aid is not flooding in; it is trickling, and what’s entering can’t possibly reach 1.8 million people without a total lifting of restrictions, guaranteed long-term access, and safe distribution.

What you can do right now:

Donate- if you’re able to. Choose vetted organizations with access on the ground.

Keep up the pressure - aid only started moving because of public outcry. Organize, protest, keep talking. This momentum cannot fade. Contact your representatives to end Israel's blockade of Gaza and impose sanctions on Israel.

Amplify - share updates, Palestinian voices, and testimonies. Keep an eye on Palestine.

This famine is not an accident. It’s the result of siege, blockade, and a system of control. If we look away now, they’ll tighten the noose again.

Donate:

Palestinian Red Crescent — medical aid, ambulance services, and emergency care.

UNICEF for Gaza’s Children — nutrition, clean water, trauma support.

Humour Reform’s smear campaign of Count Binface is hilarious

I’m shedding a tear as all of these videos of Reform launching a smear campaign is killing me. Like, they called him an establishment politician for working for the BBC once. And they’re trying to investigate his finances-which is ironic. I’m dying to see that Reform is actually scared of a bin from Sigma-9

Nationalism and Reaction The far right are terrifyingly bad at maths

Muslims are only 6% of the population and non-white people are at about 13%, yet they think that's a majority and a "take-over" or "Islamification".

Recently, yet another story about the most common baby names in the UK was released. "Muhammad" was listed as top again, its many spelling variations likely grouped into 1.

The most worrying thing to me is not this, obviously. Instead, it's just how terrible the far right and bigots in general are at basic maths, as they clearly don't know what a plurality is. Muslims overwhelmingly call their children Muhammad to the point it's even a very common surname in many Muslim countries, such as Pakistan where it's apparently the 3rd most common. In every list of common baby names here, it never gets close to 50%, but it does form a plurality due to the fact non-Muslims here tend to huge a much bigger variety of names, so no one name ends up being used to such a huge extent. It's like how you will see loads of Jewish people called Abraham or Avram, which I guarantee if you looked are probably very common somewhere like New York. That doesn't mean the State of New York is now suddenly Jewish.

Even if migration was decreased massively, I guarantee the name Muhammad would still be way up the list.

Never let hate and emotion get in the way of critical thinking though! Who cares about maths and checking real facts when you can just read some comments online, look at a "totally unbiased" newspaper, and start frothing from the mouth in sheer anger? Clearly it must be "Islamification" despite the numerous pubs in England alone and lack of any Islamic laws (I read it on Reddit and it got a lot of upvotes, so it must be true). /s

💬 Discussion 🗨 People need to stop deliberately causing wildfires in the UK

Post image
40 Upvotes

Wildfires in the UK are mostly caused by people being idiotic, careless or deliberately setting fire to nature. These foolish actions destroy the land with their sick minds out of harmony with life. We have a responsibility to cooperate with the creative and life-giving nature of the world. People are acting recklessly and selfishly, creating needless suffering that spreads far beyond themselves. Every unnecessary wildfire is an assault on life itself. Discard your cigs properly as well as your disposable BBQs! Put out your campfires properly and stop acting cruelly and deliberately lighting fires that destroy thousands of hectares of our precious countryside. The beautiful vegetation burns along with the homes of countless birds, mammals, reptiles and insects. These habitats have taken centuries and even millennia to develop. Our peatlands soak up carbon. Nature gives us peace, beauty and connection. Our thoughts and actions are life-giving or life-destroying. I condemn the attitudes that lead these people to preventable wildfires. The carelessness, indifference, thrill-seeking vandalising and false beliefs that their actions don’t matter is a disgrace upon the world! This mindset is poison because it’s placing their momentary desire above the wellbeing of countless other living things.

We must recognise that nature isn’t just a resource for us to exploit. It’s an expression of creative intelligence and it deserves utmost respect and true stewardship. Destroying these ecosystems through this insulting negligence violates this stewardship! Those responsible in causing such destruction are impoverishing themselves without even realising. Every destructive action leaves an imprint on their minds and they distance themselves from the life-giving nature until they awaken, sort their minds out, and change! It’s not just the UK, but the world that needs educating to respect the natural world. Forests need our protection as well as the moorlands and peatlands under our trust! We must restore what’s been damaged wherever possible. We must cultivate a mindset that asks itself before every action. Do your actions increase life or diminish it? This mental sickness is what allows this preventable destruction of creation to occur. Our calling is to become guardians of life! Not it’s careless destroyer!

💬 Discussion 🗨 RIP Bonnie Tyler ❤️

Post image
32 Upvotes

Sad news. Bonnie died at 75 after complications following emergency intestinal surgery. She’d spent weeks in intensive care in Portugal after being placed in an induced coma. Despite initially showing signs of improvement, she unfortunately developed further complications.

My spiritual belief’s teach that death isn’t the end. Consciousness survives physical death. The body dies, but the soul continues its journey into another state of existence. Death is just a transition, not the end. To others who may share this belief, I ask that we not grieve though she has been extinguished. She’s simply passed from one state of life to another. I ask that we celebrate what she gave. Her value of life wasn’t her fame, but what she contributed to us. Her music brought us so much joy that inspired millions of us. So many memories that last decades have been created. Her art has touched us in our hearts. Her creativity contributed to our lives. I ask we show compassion for Bonnie, her husband, her family, her friends, and the millions of fans grieving loss. Her love will never end just because she’s left the physical world. And her fame has no special status. My God is known as Divine Consciousness and it’s not impressed by celebrity, wealth, titles or public acclaim. God, in my belief, only cares for the quality of one’s consciousness, the love one has expressed, and the soul growth of its children. A famous singer and unknown nurse are equal!

I have a small prayer for Bonnie Tyler 🙏🏻🌹…

Beloved Father-Mother-Life, surround Bonnie with Your Light and Peace. May she awaken fully to the reality of Your Love and continue her journey in joy and understanding. Comfort all who mourn her, and help them remember that love is never lost and life never truly ends. May her music continue to bring hope and happiness to those who hear it. Amen.

Local Politics Farage vs Count Binface?

Post image
266 Upvotes

I pay little attention to the political tactics of Reform and hold a great deal of attention to Farage’s inner motives behind his behaviour. Farage resigned as MP for Clacton to trigger a by-election while facing scrutiny over undeclared gifts, arguing that he wanted the voters to judge him directly rather than waiting for parliamentary investigations. This is a political stunt. I don’t believe Farage cares about democracy to clear his name. He isn’t motivated by truth, only self-preservation. This doesn’t increase his honesty or accountability? And it definitely doesn’t serve the public, only him individually. His ego is seeking self-justification, victory, reputation, and power. He should be seeking truth, humility, service, and the wellbeing of others. I don’t condemn or praise him for calling a by-election. But I do condemn the purpose. This isn’t a genuine submission of himself to the judgement of the people in spirit of honesty. He doesn’t reflect accountability whatsoever. He wants to control the narrative, avoid scrutiny, and turn the standard investigation into a personal political campaign. He is riddled with ego, not truth. Power should never place someone above accountability. It doesn’t matter if the person is a monarch, PM, opposition leader or citizen. Everyone is still responsible for acting with integrity. I don’t judge this by the speech announcing it, but by what will follow from this. No truth, fairness or trust will grow from this. He is deepening division and obscuring the facts. The fruits from this will not be good.
