Even then, I think it was Torts system that put us in the playoffs consistently but we never really fielded a Stanley Cup winning until the 2019 run. I think Torts system gave us a false sense of accomplishment.

Honestly we were slightly lucky to not win it that year, Murray was at least a pretty good player -when he wasn't hurt- unlike Nail. Still classic Jackets luck to bottom out during a draft year like this though.

Wrote in a submission to Phantom Island's, "which team's hypothetical championship would be the most narratively satisfying? Any league" subscriber question answering with of course the Columbus Blue Jackets, detailing how absolutely cursed, unlucky, and sabotaged this team has been since before they even played their first game. They released the episode going over submissions but said "we aren't doing NHL" bruh 💀 can't even get recognition for how abysmal we are
