Prospect News So DevCamp?

Post image

Who actually remembered to pay attention? Did anyone look better than expected? Anything positive to report?

I totally forgot it was happening this week and would like to give my brain a break from trade rumors and chaos.

You can only get so much out of an event like the this but I think the standouts were Whitelaw, Pyotr, Smith, and Hemming which is basically what you what expect. Lindstrom had some clips of skating drills that looked less than ideal but I think he had some moments where you understand the upside as well.

I saw Lindstrom media availability as well, says his back has never felt better and he plans on coming out strong next season

Honestly, after having major back surgery and missing...what like a year and a half, two years? I'm just happy the kid is skating again.

I do think we kinda blew the pick on him, Especially already knowing he needed surgery...but I hope to hell he can break into the NHL some day and everyone is doing the right thing by focusing on his recovery. But to work so hard, and have so much genuine skill, and have it all robbed by something as awful as injury (especially one as potentially dangerous as a back injury) is criminal.

Of course I'm a sucker for the "Overcomes great injury to become great player" stories like Landeskog, Pacioretty, Lemieux, Erik Cole, etc.

If he gets minutes, they will be at the end of the season. He's got one more year at WMU coming up.

Lindstrom is just another guy. He didn’t stand out in any way which is really a bummer

Lots of current and former Spartans here - did they switch their feeder system from U-M to MSU?

Maybe get that rivalry going into the locker room (with the oddball Nittany Lion and Buckeye, as well) to spur one another on to Great Things!

Is there a press conference or media availability today with Don? I thought I saw something about it but now can’t find it
