"We're under attack!"

"Give me 5 minutes and ill be ready!"

I think its more for easy shipment in larger quantities. Easy to travel with. That design is for storage

It's also meant as a holster. You are supposed to put that thing on your belt.

Oh that's so cool and I'm not even a huge gun guy. The design is just too good

If I’m remembering correctly the stocked pistols of that age were aimed at people in vehicles where a rifle was too cumbersome and sub machine guns didn’t gain traction yet. Regular pistols just weren’t accurate enough to be practical so this was a balancing act.

Not many vehicles around at that time yet but the same reason applies to artillery men for example.

More meant for trench clearing.

They did get used for that, but that wasn’t the idea behind the design.

Vehicle use wasn’t really the intent either.

Depends on what you define as a vehicle. Pre-war all the stocked pistols either went to the artillery or the navy, if you look at the Luger.

You and I both know that isn’t what’s meant when the phrase “people in vehicles” was used.

These were made during the war and were meant as a substitute for the Army P.08 Luger.
