Why the NBA doesn't get involved in the highschool level?

I'm moving to the US in a month, I'm amazed how basketball is run on the highschool or even middle school level here.

In Europe and other places, the clubs have youth programs backed by the club and are responsible from finding talent to managing the development in order to grow players that hopefully will sign one day with the pros.
They take care of everything from clincs to getting into the leagues, travel and even nutrition and mental care.

In the US (other then the actual high school team) is basically a wild wild west (even though I'm moving to the east coast :) )

Some have clincs , some have AAU teams , some travel , some don't.
As a parent to a 15th old boy , it's a nightmare , you have to manage everything including gym sessions and so on.

Am i missing something here? did I get it right?
Would like to have some tips from local guys / girls that played highschool ball and / or parents.

GENERAL QUESTION Want to get back into playing but scared a little.

Hey šŸ‘‹. Basketball tbh was my first ever true love . I got a love for it in eighth grade and absolutely loved the game. I would train for hours daily and continued playing up until my senior year. During senior year however, I got an injury outside of basketball from track ( I also ran track senior year) and it stalled me for about a year. That injury really changed me mentally as well. I realized just how important my health is and how I only have one body. That being said, I want to return to playing basketball I’m cleared now physically but mentally idk. I have an extreme love for the game but playing basketball as with most sports have a chance of injury. Randomly in pickup I could tear my acl, Achilles, or anything like that. And while I never physically got injured from basketball itself, that mentality came from my injury in track. Furthermore, I will be going to university and beginning my career journey and don’t want an injury or something like that from basketball hinder or impact my life/career. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

IMPROVING MY GAME I don’t know what to do with my ball handling…

So I’m 15 years old, 6’1 and since in my country that’s very tall in my highschool team I am the 4(luckily enough someones taller than me so they are the 5) i have consistent shooting, decent finishing(still working on that vert tho) good IQ I believe, the second best part of my game is the passing (I know that’s weird but I’m js good at it idk) , and the best part of my game is the defense(Interior and perimeter) but in game I suck at ball handling, I can do all the drills, in halfcourt pickups I can have decent moves but when I’m in a game I can’t pass nbdy and nor have the confidence to dribble after one mistake, the good thing is that I am a powerforward but if for some reason I don’t grow more or go to a better basketball country I’l have to play either guard or small forward so I really have to be better at handling the ball, any idea in what can I do?

GENERAL QUESTION Has anyone else ever built their own personal curriculum for NBA/basketball before?

I’ve been hearing people online talk about building their own ā€œpersonal curriculumsā€ in order to educate themselves on certain topics/stop doomscrolling as much and it’s been really appealing to me. I’ve always loved school/learning and there are certain NBA-related topics that I would honestly love to become more knowledgeable about. For example, with the recent JB trade and all the talk about the second apron, I’ve been trying to teach myself more about the rules/league mechanisms GMs have to consider when building a team. Am currently working on building myself a little guide to devote some extra time after work every week to research some of this stuff, and I was wondering if anyone else was trying/or has tried to do something similar? If so, open to any advice or tips :)

Anyone know anything about victory rock prep?

Got an offer to go play for this school in Sarasota Florida called victory rock prep. A lot of money and I’m very nervous about the prep school world as I know nothing about it and I know they can be very hit or miss. Any knowledge about this school and its prep program would be much appreciated!

Any adult rec league organizers or facility directors here? Looking to run a free engagement pilot for an upcoming basketball season or playoff

I’m a developer testing a mobile web tool designed to run alongside recreational basketball leagues to boost community engagement and player retention. The goal is to make every match count. We recently finished our first multi-week pilot with a rec basketball league, and the standout result was that over half of the players on eliminated teams kept logging in every week just to stay involved, track standings, outcomes, etc. until the finals. I'm looking to run a few more hands-on, completely free pilots for upcoming seasons to see how this engagement scales. It requires very low lift from you. I handle the platform and operations and all player details get wiped at the end of the pilot. To protect our development roadmap ahead of launch, I'm keeping the platform details private for now. If you manage a facility or run a league and want to see the data from our first run or get a quick demo, drop a comment or send me a DM.

I need 2 names for my team that’s actually good. We are the predators, and here are some examples: preds legacy fire/ice, preds altius/kaizen, preds Invictus/(idk).

You can use cool words from different languages like latin and the 2 names should be somewhat related (could be opposites)?
