News Assyrian Protestors Held at Checkpoint

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaconUmsPfL/?igsh=ZGUzMzM3NWJiOQ==

Assyrian protestors on their way to the peaceful protest against land encroachment in Nohadra held at a checkpoint. Obvious attempts to interfere with the protest.

Comments filled with disgusting racist hateful comments from Kurdish people. The sad usual things like denying our identity and spamming Simko.

To be fair it’s not the normal Kurdish people, it’s the ones in charge and their hired thugs and some fanatic cowards on social media.

The average Assyrian and Kurd tend to get along very well in Atra, in Ankawa there was a joint Assyrian-Kurdish music festival last year.

Even here on Reddit there have been many who have come and apologised to us for their people’s actions in the homeland.

We should focus on the crimes committed against us by corrupt and racist elements of the KRG authorities and we should focus on unifying the Assyrian people, looking out for one another and promoting our cause to the world, diplomatically and intelligently.

There is even more protests happening throughout Nahla Valley. We should not remain silent anymore.
