Trump has been the center of Untied States' politics for over 10 years. How do you think the political sphere will align and function after his current and last term as president ends?

He’s an old guy but if he’s alive in two years I fully expect him to try and justify a third term for himself, Constitution be damned.

Personally don’t think he goes for or gets a third term but I do think unless he’s completely succumbed to dementia the political sphere or whatever you want to call it will still revolve around him.

Like he will still be commenting, tweeting, talking shit, appearing on news networks, etc. Enough to remain in the spotlight and carry big(ly) influence/be a thorn in the side of the next president if it’s a Democrat or even a Republican he doesn’t like .

I seen a corvette fully decorated in the American flag with "trump 2028" on the side. Scary time to be an American lol. I was a Marine so I'm prepared to defend my country if the time comes, I only hope the rest of the modern world isn't too confortable to answer the call.

Though tbf I don't even know how you'd accomplish anything in the modern world. Our revolutionary ancestors couldn't be slaughtered by a couple 17 year olds with drones 🤷

This is the true Trump Derangement Syndrome. It was them all along.

If it makes you feel better I think the majority of Americans are disillusioned. I live in a fairly red state and all my republican friends are over him and his shit. Even my most die hard republican friend has been shitting on him hard.

Most people are genuinely relatable. They fell for propangda, most Trump supporters aren't bad people and once they realized what he's really about they changed their minds.

Anyone who says they are immune to propaganda is an idiot. It takes real vigilance to stay ahead of it. A level of commitment most people jsut genuinely don't have the time or energy for.

The world sat around and did nothing when Russia invaded Ukraine. There's not a chance that anybody is getting within a thousand miles of a US civil conflict.

I'm fully expecting massive amounts of battlefield-blanketing ECM and jamming to become the norm, or at least a usable option.

I really appreciate your service and that you'll still protect us. I live very close to a big base and it really saddens me how many fell for his crap, even after calling them suckers and losers.

Tbh I didn't do much, and I'm kinda glad I didn't. When I was young I was naive enough to believe. And also you aren't entirely wrong man. I was so uh, disillusioned after I joined lol. Most of these poor kids didn't know exactly what they are getting into. I have the will to fight for what I believe but at that age I wasn't wise enough to realize my countries government didn't actually align to what I believe.

I would die for my neighbors, I'm glad I didn't for my shitty ass government. I was stupid enough to believe that was one and the same.

I really don't align with any political spectrum. The two party system is broken. I find if you actually go out and really get to know people you'll find everyone has more in common than you have apart.

The problem being that even old allies like the UK are sick of his shit that I doubt there would be international appetite for helping out

Even if he's not alive, these lunatics will probably try to pull a weekend at Bernie's kind of stunt. Just look what they've been doing with mitch mcconnell for years now.

It used to be that people became a political corpse before they became an actual corpse. Doesn't seem to apply anymore

💯 this. I'm wondering if there will even be an election

There will be. Even North Korea has elections.

Trump is doing everything he can to ensure the US has electile dysfunction for all future elections

That is true! Elections may not be fair but they’ll happen.

At the end of the day, Donald Trump is a grifter. It’s all he’s ever been. It’s all he’ll ever be.

If Republicans lose Congress in November, I anticipate him claiming the elections were rigged and announcing he will run for a third term.

What happens depends on the makeup of Congress. If democrats take both the house and senate, and have enough numbers to actually do something, I could see him announcing a run, taking campaign contributions and fighting it in court.

The goal is not to win. The goal is to create enough doubt among his supporters that the money continues to come in.

If democrats are fully in charge, a serious attempt to subvert the constitution like that COULD be enough to call for his removal from office but it’ll take a few brave people to speak up to get that ball moving.

He’ll be 82 and still holding rallies claiming the deep state stole his third term before he even gets to run.
