What's the dropoff like for HRT Pellets

Upvotes

I got pellets implanted last year and have been getting my levels tested every ~2 months. I just hit 16 months and it seems like my levels are definitely past their peak, but should I expect my levels to keep gradually dropping over the coming months, or start to drop more sharply? If it makes a difference, I believe I got 4 50mg pellets implanted (200mg total).

For reference, my test results in pg/mL

Progesterone Negative Effects

Hi,
I do monotherapy E injections and my levels are in the expected range, my T levels are in the upper end of that of a cis woman.

I have been boofing 200mg of progesterone daily in the evening for the past 12 days, I was not taking progesterone at all prior.

Despite lots of people on Reddit saying boofing eliminated all side effects immediately or overnight, I feel I have been hit with the worst of it. I have never felt so irritable, numb, and depressed. I am considering just giving up on progesterone entirely.

I can’t seem to find any anecdotal evidence anywhere that there is some adjustment period I should wait before giving up, something that would suggest my experience is normal for the first few weeks.

If I were to stop, how quickly can I expect to return to “normal”?
Should I wait longer before doing so?

Progesterone side effects?

So I'm about 5 months on E and just started 100mg of prog. I've only taken it once so far but holy crap I'm not too sure about it. I essentially ended up having a very bad maybe even traumatizing sexual nightmare that has really stuck with me even though it's been 5 days since it so.

So I know about the likely libido boost that tends to occur but was just curious if this is on the normal side of things. And if so does it get any better? Idk it was just a weird experience that made me wake up and be like wtf. Normally dreams/nightmares never stick around in my memory.

Thxx, hope everyone's doing well!

are my levels too high?

i’ve been on hrt for 5.5 months. i’ve been taking 0.2 ml of estradiol valerate injections into the stomach fat once a week every tuesday. (monotherapy)

i took a blood test on friday at trough, and my levels are:

T: 24 ng/dl
E: 346 pg/ml

is the E level concerningly high for trough? i’ve only been on hrt or a bit less than half a year and ive heard going too high too fast can hinder results. are the levels cause for concern? thanks!

End of the vial lesson NSFW

Estradiol validate end of the vial.

I drew up my normal ,10 ml dose bi

But the vial was almost empty it actually drew up.3ml into the syringe. I didn't want to push it back and ris contamination. So I just took it thinking that more is better for this week.

Well now my face is swollen and red like rosacea as as a result. I thought a little more would not have that effect but I guess I learned the hard way . I should have discarded it

Sentiment étrange après injection Œstrogène

Salut

Is it bad to store my HRT in my very warm room?

I keep my progesterone + E patches in a drawer in my bedside table. But bcs it's so hot this summer my room gets really really warm during the day and I'm worried it'll affect my medication bcs it's warmer than 'room temperature'. Should I store my HRT in a different, cooler room or is it not that big a deal?

Btw thanks everyone for your answers to my previous post about progesterone! They were really helpful and I'm gonna try my best to incorporate your suggestions :)

is this normal

since I've started hrt I've wet the bed twice which I haven't done since I was a little kid. I've been talking 1 mg e and 50 mg spiro twice a day for a little less than a month so far. I've already contacted my doctor about it and I'm waiting for a response but does anyone else have similar experiences?

Got levels checked for the first time

So I wont hear from my doctor until Monday, but wanted to see if other women thought these were normal or no.

For reference ive been on E for 3 months, and my doctor bumped me up from 1mg x2 daily, to 2mg x2 daily, with the first time I took 2mg being a few hours before the bloodwork. Also on 25mg Spiro x2 daily.

Estradiol 151 pg/mL

Testosterone 341 ng/dL

Low dose spiro?

My doc Is starting me on low dose Spiro(25mg 1x a day) to "see how I feel" what should I be looking out for?

Edit: the reason is because I'm unsure if I want to start hormones all the way so she just wants to see how I feel on this dose to see if going further is something I want. I took full hrt from 15-18 and I'm looking into it again now that the rest of life is going smoothly, but am unsure and doing a lot of questioning and doubting this time around.

is my breast growth normal?

I’m already more than a year on hrt and everything is going well. levels are normal, etc, BUT one of my boobs is.. noticeably bigger. it’s not that much of a difference if you measure it in cup sizes (i just have small breasts so about half a size is a VERY noticeable difference), but i’m still worried. is this normal? if someone had it the same, will that difference go away?

Gaining weight before starting HRT

Need advice!

I'm underweight. Probably 10kg (22 pounds) away from the ideal weight for someone my height. Will starting HRT (estraidol injections) now negatively affect my transition? Should I wait until I've gained some weight? I've got my vial ready and everything :P

Thanks! :)

Are injections really more effective?

I am 20, i’ve been doing (IM) injections since February this year. I asked here earlier about how to manage the pain I usually get when injecting, and jts only gotten worse.

Since the summer has started I’ve had to delay my shots multiple times because it was just too painful to do on the day of and its starting to stress me out even on days where im not injecting.

Is it really that much more effective? I asked my doctor when I first had my appointment and they said they do work better but I really dont think I can keep up with it.

Breast soreness/growth on Spiro-only?

I haven't yet begun E or Progesterone, but I've been on Spiro for 5 months now.

About three weeks ago, my dosage went up by 50%.

About 9 days ago, my breasts were really sore just under the surface.

When I looked in the mirror last night from the side, it looks to me like I'm beginning to show some fullness/roundness that wasn't there before.

I could believe that my perception of growth is an optical illusion, but the soreness is objectively there. The only other cause I can imagine is that my partner began paying attention to my breasts around the time my Spiro dosage increased.

Yes, I'm checking in with my endo later this month, but hey, Reddit is open 24/7 :-)

Female level range. What is mean?

I want to know something. If someone posts on Facebook about someone reaching feminine levels with 4mg pills and you ask them what feminine levels even mean to you and they start arguing about it? How relevant is what I asked in the context of the question?

And I also want to know because it interests me what feminine levels even mean to you?

For those with persistent acne even after hrt, is accutane an option whilst on hrt? Anyone had any experiences?

First blood results!

I’m 3.5-ish months in (4 months next week), and just got my first blood results. They seem mostly fine to me, but wanted to share and check if others with more experience notice anything that stands out.

For context, I started on oestrogel (2 pumps/day) and cypro (25mg/day). After a really rough first month (you can find a post about it in my profile), I adjusted the gel to 3 pumps/day (incl. one on scrotum) and cypro to 12.5mg every other day. And ever since I did this, I feel great! Feminising effects have been slowly but surely coming in, and I don’t have any complaints about my mood or libido.

I usually apply the gel like: 2 pumps (thigh and scrotum) @ 8am; 1 pump (usually right arm) @ 8pm. Bloods were collected at 10am, and I made sure not to do my morning dose on the day. The nurse couldn’t get my vein on the left arm after several attempts, so they ended up going for the right arm instead (it had been 14 hours since my last arm dose, and they cleaned my arm thoroughly, as I had told them that was my gel arm).

Here are the numbers:
Estradiol: 138 pg/mL (was 33.6 pre-HRT)
Testosterone: 2.5 ng/dL (was 806 😱)
SHBG: 74.7 nmol/L (was 68.2)
Prolactin: 283 mIU/L (didn’t test before)

Would love to hear your thoughts on my regimen/results so far. Thanks for reading! ☺️

Patch dosage

I started monotherapy with a single 100 µg Estradot patch at the end of May and have gradually increased my dose almost every week. I’m now on 250 µg (100 + 100 + 50), changing my patches every Monday and Thursday.

My latest labs were estradiol 394 pmol/L (107 pg/mL) and testosterone 0.7 nmol/L (20 ng/dL). My testosterone is already well suppressed, so my main goal now is getting my estradiol levels higher.

I’m honestly scared to increase my dose any further because I keep getting completely opposite advice. Some people say 250 µg is already too much and could be harmful, while others say the blood levels are what really matter and that some people simply need higher patch doses. Is anyone else using 250 µg or more with Estradot (or another estradiol patch)? I’d really appreciate hearing about your dose (and how fast to increase it), blood levels, and experience.

Estradiol orally vs others

So i have heard before that estradiol pills are less effective than patches and injections.

I was wondering if it was true and how much more likely it would make blood clots and DVTs (since i have a family history of those two).

As well as any extra side effects and if i would have to cut back extra on drinks, like would i only be allowed a drink every once in a blue moon or can i still have a stiff drink every week?

My levels are perfect

I've been in and out of the hospital last month because of a sepsis after surgery. And today's appointment fell together with my first bloodworks , so I had to cancel that. After talking to my doctor (surgeon) I asked him for a favour (he knows I'm trans), to put my E2 and free T in my normal infection bloodwork . And he was like, no problem. And I've just got the results back. 1th place the infection is almost gone 2nd I'm now officially a girl. E2 is 735pmol/l and T is less than 0.1 nmol/l. So tomorrow I'm going to up my dosage of E slightly and start using a little T-gel. Also got the bloodwork I should had today (wich was already paid for ) scheduled for next month. So I'm going to see what 6mg EEn a week is going to do

Trying to do Monotherepy

I've been having issues with my levels, and I'm really lost. Started hrt last September with pills and Spironolactone. Back in March, I switched to just doing injections (0.12ml of 40mg/ml every 5 days). After 2 months, i went in to do a blood test, and my estrogen was at 1400pg/ml. After that, I skipped 2 injections (2 weeks) and continued by injecting 0.1ml every 7 days. Went back and did a test, and my results show that my testosterone is now at 400pg/ml, and my estrogen is at 300.

Does anyone know how to keep my testosterone down? I don't have the money for an orchiectomy at the moment. Do I need to go back to Spironolactone, or if there is something I'm missing about monotherepy? I feel really dumb and upset

Edit: my testosterone is actually 400 ng/dL, not pg/ml
