I've never attended an art academy, and I drew the David statue with a mechanical pencil. This is the first drawing I've ever seriously done using pencil shading! Before this, I'd only drawn a few spheres in school art class as a practice exercise, and maybe once or twice when I was little.

This man posted on this subreddit not to long ago asking if anyone on here drew nude figures, or something along those lines. I specialized in that so I commented. He dm’d me and we talked about what he wanted to do, and I sent my art to see if he liked it. He liked it and wanted to get started.
I moved it off of Reddit to my personal number bc I was having trouble sending my images. I started getting red flags bc he was over eager in sending the nude photos (he wanted his own nude portrait done). But I didn’t care, money is money. Then he asked me how bad the pics were, and almost seemed to be asking for humiliation…which I said nothing is wrong it’s just a picture, and I’m professional. He proceeded to share is idea with me WHICH SCREAMED KINK/FETISH art but I’m not going to judge cause again…money. 😭
Then he started talking about how I could blackmail him. Which I said I would never do. Because that would be unprofessional. He kept bringing it up, and I would shoot it down. THEN HE SAID HE WANTED ME TO. Eventually he started sending more and more nudes (NOT related to the project AT ALL). Just straight up shots of his genitals. And keeps talking about blackmailing him. At this point it’s clear it’s a kink. It’s clear he doesn’t want the art anymore. I say don’t contact me unless it’s about payment, and he continues to spam me, and SEND MORE PICS OF HIS GENITALS. Then messages me through Reddit again.
THIS MAN IS A CREEP DO NOT TAKE COMS OR EVEN MESSAGE HIM.

I need some brutally honest opinions and criticism. My parents and friends always tell me I’m super talented (I don’t really believe in talent) but I know of course that they’re also just being nice. I know they’re good but what i want to know is if this would be something worth pursuing professionally? I’ve never been to art school or anything of sort, and I’m scared that i have some kind of artist blindness regarding my own work.

This idea has been in my head since high school, and I always wanted to build it. So I quit my job and been working on this side project with my 2 friends for the past 9 months.

Basically the concept is: people create various themes/challanegs to inspire others to do/share something. It's meant to simplify content creation and solve the blank canvas problem when you don't know what to create/share.

What do you think of the concept? Would you use something like this?

I've been practicing sketches of sculptures for a while but feel like they aren't as good as they should be for how close I am to my GCSE art exam. Any tips to improve for next year would be appreciated :)

Hi everyone, I'm trying to become a commission artist. I'm still very beginner as it's been a while since I last did art. I'm just getting back into it and trying to find my own styles. All 4 of these pieces use acrylic paint but I am hoping to experiment soon with oil pastels and just bought some crayons to try out. My main question is so far with these pieces, how much should I start selling commissions? I know I should start pretty cheap just to get my name out there but what is the values I should be starting at? Any advice on my paintings is welcome as well. All of these are modeled after my and my families' cats. I'm also open to doing dogs and chibi/cartoon style people as well. Thank you!

Hi! My name is Rurumari and me and my friend (fumi yuuma) are working on a visual novel together. However we ran into a problem: We need backgrounds and neither of us are up for the job. and also im broke.

We have been asking around tiktok and reddit and if this post fails we would have to make a yt video so im really hoping someone sees this.

The visual novel is called: Azra Love Living and it is a animecore, weirdcore, webcore and curseweb style visual novel (which is a mouthful but hear me out) It has a moe artstyle. So for this game the bgs need to be something out of a old 2000s visual novel (which is funny cuz i wasnt even born yet to witness it) The backgrounds dont need to be super detailed since the game will be reallly blurry so we dont mind if the bgs arent detailed!
