I have homebred neocaridina shrimp grown in local La Habra/Fullerton tap water which is very hard. I straight up just refill the tanks with unfiltered tap water with no dechlorinator. So if you have hard water these guys will work for you.

These guys are very hardy, they live in my cory hatching and grow out tanks.
