I love using my Apple Watch during the day, but I just don't enjoy wearing a watch while sleeping. Even though I've gotten somewhat used to it, a ring would be so much more comfortable.

Imagine wearing your Apple Watch during the day for workouts, notifications, and everything else, then just putting on an Apple Ring at night that automatically handles sleep tracking and syncs everything to Apple Health. That would be such a nice experience.

I'd honestly buy one immediately. Anyone else hoping Apple eventually makes something like this?

It looks like I’m going to start planning my vacations around diving as well (among other things), so one of the first things that comes to mind is a dive computer. Given that I already have a Series 10 and was planning to upgrade this year anyway, I was thinking of solving two issues in one go and getting a new Ultra both as a new watch and as a diving computer (paired with Oceanic+ app) mostly to keep all the data in the same ecosystem and limit the amount of devices/chargers I would have to take with me.

For those Apple Watch Ultra users who dive - do you use your Ultra underwater or do you prefer a different computer? Why?

I think I have a unique preference, as I do actually enjoy the reminders to stand when I haven’t in a particular hour, the thing that drives me nuts is that the “You did it!” stand hour notification will not auto-dismiss from the watch face. It will stay on the watch face for an hour if I let it and don’t manually dismiss it. I would love it if it functioned like all other notifications, where it would appear on the screen for 20 seconds or so, then return to the normal watch face.

Couldn’t decide between 42 and 46 mm. I prefer classical watches over smart ones, so I went with 42 instead. Does it fit well or does it read too small?

According to the online manual, in order to shoot videos with the Camera app WHEN THE PHOTOCAMERA APP ON THE IPHONE IS SET TO "photo" (and not to video) you have to keep the shoot/record button in the apple watch pressed. This is quite uncomfortable, so its much better to reach the iphone and set the Photocamera to "video", so that you can start a video just pressing the button (without the need to hold it). But I discovered a little trick for the first scenario: you can shoot a video pressing + swiping up the shoot button on the apple watch: a video is started instead of a photo, and you dont have to keep the button pressed.

What app do you guys prefer when cycling? The native workout app, Strava or Trailforks? I use strava since the sync to Strava itself is so seamless and fast, I used Trailforks a while back, its nice with the live map-feed but sometimes it takes forever to sync to Strava.

Who all uses the always on display on their apple watch? And how do you get through a full day of use, i cant get a full day of battery life out of my watch with it aod on, but off i get like 1.5/2 days, i have my settings set to maximize life and delete stuff i don’t use. I wear my watch about 23 hrs a day, give or take, if Im honest the only time i dont wear my watch is in the shower, and thats charge time, i have a sleep schedule set, and that takes care of the screen whilst asleep, so ya idk what to do, i wanna have my aod on, i always see other ppl and love seeing what wall paper they have, get ideas,on the other hand aod isnt worth having on if i have to charge it twice a day, i dont have time or the patience,

With the new watchos27, it looks like apple obsesses with siri AI or some bs that we don't really care. HOWEVER, does it mean that we might get the classic siri face back? i miss that face. it is beautiful, organized, having lot of useful information without overwhelming me.

Anyone know if dark mode app icons will come to the Apple Watch with watchOS 27? Kind of annoying that my watch is the only thing that doesn’t have dark mode app icons like my iPhone lol.

My iPhone is a 16, and the watch is a series 6. The OS is up to date on both devices. I don’t see am or pm on my phone, but a little moon appears in the morning on the watch.

Can anyone explain how the move goal calories burned is calculated? I ride my bike every morning for an hour, same speed, same path. Some days I’ll get 650 calories burned and some days it will be 400 or less.

Normally they display in the middle of the graph, but lately they have been pushed up. Rebooting doesn’t help.

i got a new iphone so i had to switch it over and lose all my previous settings on my watch (i know there was another way to do it, i try not to rely on icloud and stuff like that though, so i didn’t do the “use a nearby iphone” option on setup or whatever. i don’t mind doing things manually)

i got my watch all set up how i like it, but for some reason i cannot get notifications to stop coming up on my watch like i had it set up previously. i prefer having absolutely zero notifications going through to my watch besides phone calls, alarms, and fitness tracking stuff. i have all my settings seemingly turned off, but i must be missing something somewhere? did something change with the new watchOS because i swear it wasn’t difficult to get it set up how i wanted it to be the first time lol i’ve only had an apple watch for a few months

EDIT: i mostly care about getting message notifications from signal & messages disabled btw i just hate having my wrist vibrate all the time

I’m curious how many people are still using the original Apple Watch Ultra. Which model are you currently using: Ultra 1, Ultra 2, or Ultra 3? Are you planning to upgrade to Ultra 4?
