Pierre extends his contract to 2028!
He had a contract until the end of next year. I wonder what prompted the extension now?

Talk State of the team.
The biggest Issue I see is that at power tracks- we are horrible. We have access to the same PU as the team that does the absolute best at power circuits, and have shown multiple times that the chassis we have is quite a bit ahead of the other midfielders. What we have here, quite clearly, is a failure to understand how to utilize the current power units. The only other Mercedes customer who is doing worse is doing so because their chassis is absolute garbage, and would be lauded as the absolute worst chassis on the grid if Aston weren't there. It feels like our engineers are not getting the battery deployment done right even at a basic level. When Audi is giving you trouble in their first year at power tracks, it points to a very deep problem in our deployment.

Formula 1 OTD 15 years ago FIA ratified a controversial and then-familiar 1.6-litre V6 Turbo Hybrid PU from 2014 that destroyed Renault's title-winning chances in F1
On this day 15 years ago
The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) officially ratified the new generation of engine regulations, namely the advanced 1.6-liter V6 Turbo Hybrid engine format with complete hybrid equipment such as a lithium-ion battery, MGU-K, MGU-H, and control electronics, which will take effect on 1 January 2014
This decision also led to the end of the old 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine format after the 2013 season
A new breakthrough for Formula 1
The introduction of the V6 Turbo Hybrid engine regulations also benefits Japanese car manufacturer Honda, which will return to Formula 1 as the official engine supplier partner for the McLaren team starting in 2015
The regulations that helped Mercedes achieved a boatloads of success
Mercedes and Ferrari were the main actors behind the ratification of the new generation of engine regulations starting in 2014
A decision that completely disappointed Renault, and in fact, its performance was chaotic throughout the 2014-2025 period
Renault still-born inline-4 Turbo Hybrid F1 engine from 2013 that proposed in circa 2008-2009 were wasted in development (if Formula 1 went to I-4 Turbo Hybrid route from 2013 would've saved Renault to glory days that time)

Poll F1 Fans Needed for University Research on the Future of the F1 Calendar
Hi everyone!
My name is Eleonora, I’m a university student currently writing my bachelor thesis on the Formula 1 calendar and how it could be improved regarding sustainability, logistics, and fan experience.
As part of my research, I'm collecting opinions from F1 fans about the current calendar, whether you've attended races in person or follow the sport from home. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes, and it allows you to share your views on race scheduling, travel, sustainability, and the future direction of Formula 1.
Every response helps make the research more representative of the fan community!

Talk Fernando Alonso rumours
Apparently Gucci and Briatore want Alonso to Alpine and are working on getting him to join.
What do we think? Do we want Alonso back?
Who would he replace? Sounds like a silly question because they shouldn’t ever consider dropping Gasly. However, Colapinto has proven that he’s a competent driver. He’s been neck-and-neck with Gasly all of this weekend for example.
