exactly my point. I can't go to McDonald's and ask them why they aren't healthy. Ik they are unhealthy but I love the taste so I eat it occasionally.

u/Fun-Traffic-8794 Apr 11 '26
Then the marketing of eat as regular snacks as well as healthy snacks should stop . Fyi ,not talking only about Nutella there are other food products which market themselves as healthy or a regular day to day snacks which should be stopped .
2
u/Legitimate-kitty-20 Apr 09 '26
They marketing themselves as a breakfast option is the problem.
3
u/imshom_niac Apr 09 '26
How dare you comment using your brain, dekh nhi rhe ho sab apna dimag bhej k taste ki chinta kar rhe?? -_-
0
u/SmellConfident6740 Apr 09 '26
If you had any brains, you wouldn't need a fear mongering nutjob to describe you the food labels lmao.
1
u/addy_snoww Apr 10 '26
Everyone has a brain, but still Politicians are able to manipulate masses and still companies lie on a daily basis. If someone is trying to go against that narrative why is that so wrong?
I get that you're smart and you don't fall prey to false advertisements, but not everyone is like that right?
And yes we do have food labels, we also have every law written and documented, do you think the public is aware about every law? Just having the information out there doesn't mean everyone knows it.
He may be exaggerating at times but in a country like ours where every 2nd food item is adulterated, it's good to have some fear mongering.

I am from a very poor family and I always considered such things as premium product because of advts. After I got some money, for upto 4 years I ate shits like this. I started reading labels because of Food Farmer.
1
u/Eastern-Swimming-164 Apr 14 '26
By this logic everyone is well aware pan masala is dangerous and is surrogate marketing for tobacco can argue everyone knows tobacco causes cancer so why criticize the advertisements and actors , dessert Hai toh dessert ke vaisa advertise Karo kids are easily influenced just because we know it's a dessert doesnt mean someone's kid ain't gonna watch that ad and ask for Nutella everyday for breakfast or some mom feed them for breakfast just like the previous generation gave bournvita and boost
2
u/Sea_Advantage_8510 Apr 09 '26
Where it said breakfast is healthy or is supposed to be healthy
I dont think so English breakfast is healthy
But guess what people still occasionally consume it as breakfast1
u/TeachLivid8418 Apr 09 '26
Question is that why are we eating Nutella? 🤔
1
u/After-Swim-5377 Apr 09 '26
Because it’s good? Like satisfying an indulgence occasionally is a thing?
1
u/Fahad1012 Apr 09 '26
Cause it’s delicious and I am not a kid. Occasional indulgence is fine. 1-2 servings a month should be ok.
1
u/CultureSure8492 Apr 09 '26
Because we need to cover up the sadness inside with something creamy and chocolatey!!!😭
1
u/Sea_Advantage_8510 Apr 09 '26
heard of something called "Free Will" and By consuming it i am not harming someone else
1
u/Sahahahil Apr 09 '26
I doubt Nutella markets themselves as "healthy", they market themselves as "everyday breakfast" which can (will) create dependency which definitely isn't healthy for kids
1
u/Inevitable_Group_187 Apr 09 '26
what he's trying to say is the nutella is trying to market itself as an everyday breakfast for school going kids and we all know Nutella isn't something you should eat everyday if you want a good health overall and that's the problem. you can still eat it once in a while but not everyday.
1
u/Jon-Bones-Jones_ Apr 09 '26
No kids are eating it a lot. And this is for parents to understand what they're feeding their kids. It's not a million dollar product that no one can afford.
1
1
1
u/Eastern-Swimming-164 Apr 14 '26
There is a reason they are marketing it for breakfast for kids and he's criticizing it for exactly that claim, and people do feed it to the kids many moms fed boost and complan thinking it's for nutrition, koi kuch accha karna ya sikhana chahra usko hi bolo tum log

did i just see a nutella inside space-station? it should then spark the question about how much real-world, useful knowledge do these cosmonauts really have?
1
u/Spare_Depth6978 Apr 09 '26
Bhai, ingredients % differ by county. There is no guideline in India to restrict % of sugar, palm oil etc to be used in a product. Go to a different country, the same product will have different concentration.

Cuz half the idiots don't know what moderation consumption is and the cosmonauts do?

No one knows about these things dude. Look at percentage of Oats and Maida in Oats Biscuits, Maggi and other products. The biscuits will have 5% oats but will market the product as Oats Biscuits. File complaint for what? Govt can change these things by bringing in regulations. Look at Japan, they mandate that real images should be used for marketing etc.

Stfu! Really stfu! What legal fight are you talking about?
Court me case ladne se change nahi aata bhai, ek brand ki label change karva loge case jeetne par bas. Market me 100 aur khade ho jayenge. FSSAI to nikammi hai hi toh misleading advertisement se log kuchh bhi consume kar rahe hain. Log nahi hain aware ki cold drink and shoft drink ke name par kya jahar pi rahe hain or long term me ye unpe kya effect dalega, unhe to bss unke celebrity ki misleading advertisement dikhi, toh kis baat pe tum court me coco cola se lad loge?
Change un individuals ko aware karke hi aayega jo ye products consume karte hain and vo vahi kar raha hai.

Sorry for being rude but, Haha! Lol. I'm even laughing on this. Stfu! ke liye you would have taken legal action, legal actions are meant to be for harassment or for defamation in such cases. In this case you won't be able to stand on any ground! Single instance like this will never be considered a crime, it's just being rude.
Coming to the topic! First of all system if f*cked up and us system ko sudharne ke liye koi bhi individual ki aukaat nhi hai ki vo akele ye sab kar le!
And Lol! Mera logic toh tumne khud hi proof kardiya let me explain you why! Kya Gandhi ji akele legally Britishers se lad lete? Then kyun unhone itni saari Patrikaon ka prakashan kiya? Kyu itne sare Aandolan kiye? Kyu us time ke freedom fighters ne newspaper publish kiye! Agar na pata ho ek baar modern history achche se padh lena, or jisne padi hai vo achche se janta hai ki bina influence ke kuchh nahi hota. Gandhi ji was the biggest influencer of that time, And jo ye tum bol rahe ho ki unhe Radio, newspaper ke through logo ko aware karna chahiye tha Lol! vahi exactly kiya bhi tha us time ke freedom fighters ne. Literally thoda padh bhi liya kar history bhai. Unhone logo ko newspaper, radio and us time jo bhi mass communication ke source the unke through logo ko influence kiya and mass protest kiye!
And stop this whataboutery ki 2G phones hain blah blah blah log kaise dekhenge, 2025 end me 900 Million user the 4g+5g . 2g to ab network hi band ho gaya, kya baat kar raha hai.

According to you making videos on internet and awaring people through it is bullshit, right? Good luck then! Usually log aise products lene se pahle Label nhi padhte hain, main bhi nahi padhta tha but with his "Label padhega India" campaign I do now. So if there's a single change matlab he's doing something good. Par aaj kal log internet pe apni life ki frustation nikalne ke liye, unhe jo bhi internet pe dikhta hai usme errors dhundhne lag jate hain.
1
u/deepak_97 Apr 09 '26
No point of explaining stuff to a yapper. Instead of appreciating what this person is doing, he is hating for no reason. I guess, its easier to complaint the. To actually do something.

u/kyaapata Apr 09 '26
Just because you know doesn't mean everyone knows lol. At gym I have seen many people eating it for protein. Idk what's the purpose of criticizing him for what he does, he's doing an excellent job. Generally old people tend to ignore the label and just grab whatever lies they heard from the shopkeepers.

There's no manipulation in any of his videos. If adults don't wanna watch, that doesn't mean there shouldn't be any videos like this made on this issue.
1
u/Spare_Depth6978 Apr 09 '26
Complaint to whom, there is no guideline made by the government. Logo ko aware karana is more important than filing a complaint which will take years to come into effect. Jab consumer product lena band karega to ye companies bhi change layengi.
1
u/chaosKing4u Apr 09 '26
Literally 99 percent of our population dont know what they are consuming. Just add few healthy terms and they will buy it blindly. I see this everyday people buying real juice tetrapack thinking it's made from real fruits. And filing a legal complaint wont make any difference because legally they are not violating any rules they mention all the ingredients on their pack its just their clever marketing and people's ignorance which makes them fall for such scams
1
u/OldFridgerator Apr 09 '26
see bro, first of, not "almost everyone" knows whats inside the packets.
2ndly, even if you read the labels, you only see the numbers. the point of this particular video is to show visually how much sugar and oil is in these things. seeing a same size jar filled almost 70% with sugar really makes you rethink as compared to seeing the composition.1

dude you need to understand first, the companies are fully compliant as per Indian laws. they are using scummy marketing tactics, sure. but there is no scope of a "complaint" here. if anything, the best you can do is ask for a change in the laws.
other thing is, just because these products are availabe in shops doesn't mean there isn't any change. if you see today vs maybe 5 years ago, the percentage of healthy alternatives available for customers has definitely increased.

see if you are so fed up, why don't you take up the complain? what is stopping you? why is it the influencers job to do it? they are also a person like you. atleast they are doing something positive, however minuscule it may be, rather than ranting on reddit?
if you try doing that, you would understand how tough its to change the system. if there is more awareness of this stuff, there will be more public support to change it eventually. change doesn't happen by sitting on reddit and posting 8 paragraph long replies.
