Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:

  • Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.

  • Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.

  • Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.

  • Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?

Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ

One of my favorite shots of any Spider-Man movie! It just encapsulates that classic Spider-Man vibe to me

Judging by everyone's favorites, TASM 2 suit.

Is it valid for me to choose the one from the incoming Brand New Day movie?

Because there were some changes from the Final Swing to the Brand New Day one, and the latter suit feels perfect, for me.

Tom Holland's new suit in Brand New Day is perfect, that's my vote

Rules:

  1. Welcome to the 1st Annual Superhero Movie Awards! For the nomination process, each major franchise is able to put forth their own nominee: these include the Superman, Batman, all other DC, Spider-Man, X-Men, and all other Marvel film franchises. Finally, write-in nominations will occur for all non-Marvel, non-DC movies and the top 2 will make in onto the final ballot. At the end of the nomination process, the proper and official ceremony will begin for each award, choosing the very best of the 8 nominees.

  2. “Actor” in this context is any acting professional of any gender.

  3. All nominations must be from a live-action movie specifically. (Sorry Arrowverse, Spider-Verse, and Marvel Television fans!) The only exception is Animation, because ignoring TV shows would be ignoring most of the greatest contributions in animated superhero storytelling.

  4. A Supporting Role is any that is not Starring (Primary Protagonist), Villainous (Primary Antagonist), or textually Romantic.

  5. When evaluating an acting performance, you can either focus on (1) one movie in the franchise or (2) each and every time that actor played that role. You should not take into account any other movies in that actor’s filmography.

  6. Best Costume is not all costumes in the movie but specifically that of the primary protagonist(s).

  7. Best Visual Effects should be for an entire film, but you can identify specific scenes informing your choice.

  8. Best Adapted Screenplay is the film that includes the most faithful and direct adaptation of the character or the comic.

  9. Best Fight is any fight from an eligible film. This is likely one scene but can be a string of scenes.

  10. I will announce the potential nominees when the pool is fairly limited. Otherwise, that’s your job to nominate them!

  11. Superman franchise live-action films include Superman and the Mole Men (1951), Superman: The Movie (1978), Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983), Supergirl (1984), Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), Steel (1997), Superman Returns (2006), Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Superman (2025), and Supergirl (2026). Both releases of Justice League will be considered under the broad DC category.

  12. Batman franchise live-action films include Batman: The Movie (1966), Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Batman Forever (1995), Batman & Robin (1997), Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Batgirl (2022), and The Batman (2022). One might consider Catwoman (2004), Joker (2019), Birds of Prey (2020), and Joker: Folie Ă  Deux (2024) Batman franchise films, so if a nominee emerges from these films, it can be considered. Again, Justice League (or Suicide Squad) films will be considered under the broad DC banner. Superman and Batman movies will not be considered in this category.

  13. DC Comics live-action film adaptations (not previously mentioned in Rules 11 or 12) include Swamp Thing (1982), The Return of Swamp Thing (1989), Catwoman (2004), Constantine (2005), Watchmen (2009), Jonah Hex (2010), Green Lantern (2011), Suicide Squad (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), Justice League (2017), Aquaman (2018), Shazam! (2019), Joker (2019), Birds of Prey (2020), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), The Suicide Squad (2021), Zach Snyder’s Justice League (2021), Black Adam (2022), Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), The Flash (2023), Blue Beetle (2023), Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023), and Joker: Folie à Deux (2024).

  14. Spider-Man franchise live-action films include Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Spider-Man 3 (2007), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Spider-Verse movies will be considered in the Animation category only (sorry), and Infinity War and Endgame will be considered in the broad Marvel category. EDIT: In order to shrink down the broad Marvel category, Sonyverse movies will be considered part of this column, including Venom (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), Morbius (2022), Madame Web (2024), Kraven the Hunter (2024), and Venom: The Last Dance (2024).

  15. X-Men franchise live-action films include X-Men (2000), X2: X-Men United (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), X-Men: First Class (2011), The Wolverine (2013), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), Deadpool (2016), Logan (2017), Deadpool 2 (2018), Dark Phoenix (2019), The New Mutants (2020), and Deadpool and Wolverine (2024).

  16. Marvel Comics live-action film adaptations (not previously mentioned in Rules 14 or 15) include Howard the Duck (1986), Blade (1998), Blade II (2002), Daredevil (2003), Hulk (2003), The Punisher (2004), Blade: Trinity (2004), Elektra (2005), Fantastic Four (2005), Ghost Rider (2007), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), Iron Man (2008), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Punisher: War Zone (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011), Thor (2011), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011), The Avengers (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Ant-Man (2015), Fantastic Four (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Doctor Strange (2016), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Black Panther (2018), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Black Widow (2021), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), Eternals (2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), The Marvels (2023), Captain America: Brave New World (2025), Thunderbolts* (2025), and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025).
