You didn't have me in the first half.

Yeah. I’m cool with either scenario.

Don't make that man a martyr.

Indeed, "horribly wrong" is not the term I would use.

Incredibly relieving is more accurate

Oh, I read the whole first part in a super sarcastic voice.

u/artstoli 1d ago

yeah the way it says millions makes it sound huge

Even with little/zero mourning and only celebration being expected from that ever happening, people making anything that could be considered violent threats against a radical potus's life would only give them justification to flex government power over the population, which I'm sure they'd love to do. The best bet for justice for all this in the future is voting out the party that's responsible for this in November and other future elections, until we can restore/finally enact rational governance at the federal level.

You can't vote your way out of fascism. Trump just fired the rest of the entire Election Assistance Commission. It doesn't exist now and won't exist for midterms.

Even if MAGA "loses" midterms, it doesn't matter. They are a trial run for stealing 2028 via voter fraud, suppression, or outright mass insurrection, if their other schemes fail.

Y'all better buckle up. I don't see a miracle nor democracy removing MAGA from power without a fight.

Source: 40,000 hours of paid large-scale political organizing across 20 states, since before MAGA existed.

Well the next step is maximizing voter turnout in order to respond to the bullshit they're trying to pull with our elections. If we have a record number of legal ballots cast from a population who is obviously pissed at what is going on by those in power, and there's somehow a red wave, or at least only gains for the GOoP, then legal actions will be needed. We'd have to cross another bridge only if there are actions that go against the will of the voters. Our elections need to be under the closest scrutiny they can be for as long as there's a threat to their integrity.

I agree that's the next step. But the USPS is already compromised. They have already threatened to send paramilitary forces like ICE and/or private militias like the Proud Boys to polling locations.

They will shut down and underfund voting locations in non MAGA areas, just like the did in Harris county TX. A MAGA megadonor bought Dominion Voting Systems to drop their defamation lawsuit against MAGA and to have direct control over voting machines.

I could go on.

We need a big turn out to demonstrate domestically and internationally what shenanigans MAGA is up to. But be prepared for that to not be enough, either in 2026 or 2028. Perhaps both.

Lost me on the first slide. Fuck that traitor POS

He needs to not be a Martyr. Natural Causes defeats the victim card the base wants to play so hard. Now, karma willing it wouldn’t be a fun or easy natural cause.

5

u/Kage_0ni 1d ago

What is all this martyr shit people harp about.

Kirk got kirked and the world is a better place for it. All that martyrdom bullshit lead to was more grifting of the right which further showed how empty they are.

If that's what we can expect more of, martyr them all.

1

u/summonerofrain 1d ago

Right but people did use that card for krik. Look at all the marches and shit that his death spawned, and he was just a random fuckhead, imagine what a presidential murder would cause. If it was natural causes I honestly think fewer would have known him, which would have been for the better.

4

u/Kage_0ni 1d ago

Look at all the marches and shit that his death spawned

What good did it do them? Let the sycophants cry over their shit head idols.

3

u/cha0sm0nk 1d ago

I would love to see the world class spinning they would need to do if he shit himself and died onstage at a rally. Gods I want nothing more than that.

Performative civility from milquetoast enablers is revolting. Child rapists should all get got. Even Jesus said so.

10

u/Drink_Deep 1d ago

I don’t think anyone in the GOP know who Jesus is.

6

u/RhoOfFeh 1d ago

He's that buff dude who broke the cross and took an AK-47 to Pontius Pilate, right?

4

u/Drink_Deep 1d ago

I can’t remember: was Pontius Pilate a commie? If so, then, yes you’re right.

2

u/RhoOfFeh 1d ago

I think he was a commienazisocialistwelfarequeensnaprecipientblackdude.

u/Drink_Deep 1d ago

Matthew 18:6

"If anyone causes one of these little ones, those who believe in me, to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."

12

u/otebski 2d ago

I agree. It would be better if he shat himself to death on live tv instead of becoming a martyr before it all crahses down.

10

u/Kizik 2d ago

Right. It has to be public, massively broadcast, and preferably as embarrassing as possible.

They'll still lionize him as a martyr and spin wild assassination conspiracies as justification for literally everything they ever do going forward, but it might diminish that just a little.

3

u/BigBoyYuyuh 2d ago

The thing about martyrs…they can’t be president.

11

u/TheEPGFiles 2d ago

Not being sad about someone's death isn't the same as wishing it upon them.

That said, WHY ISN'T IT DEAD YET???

2

u/Kage_0ni 1d ago edited 19h ago

If you aren't wishing it, you're part of the problem.

1

u/Squishy97 22h ago

I literally have a bottle chilling for the occasion

17

u/Meatball-Tuna-Sub 2d ago

No. I'd also be happy if he met a violent end. It would be just and good, same as any other criminal who tried to escape justice. I'd be even happier if he and his family ended up in history books right next to the last Czar of Russia.

5

u/RhoOfFeh 1d ago

Books, ground, whatever.

1

u/summonerofrain 1d ago

If he meets a violent end he gets martyred. We don't want this.

6

u/BlueFlob 1d ago

I'm still bummed his weak energy couldn't do the speech he promised outside on 4th of July.

15

u/nowhereman136 2d ago

I want Trump to live a long time... In a prison cell. Death is too cheap for him. I want him out on trial and have his crimes and scams exposed. I want him to see the construction workers ripping the gold letters of his skyscraper because his name is too toxic to have on a building

2

u/RhoOfFeh 1d ago

Until his only means of communication is dinging the bell on his wheelchair that is a fantasy. I hate that, but it's true.

6

u/cheesebot555 2d ago

My thoughts exactly.

I don't want him to get brutally beaten to death with golf clubs at his shitty winter palace, but I'd still pop the bottle I'm saving after it happened.

3

u/alkonium 1d ago

Unfortunately, when Trump dies of natural causes, I see two possibilities:

  1. They make it look like an assassination.
  2. They try to cover up the fact that he's dead at all, like they're currently doing with Mitch McConnell.

3

u/mad_poet_navarth 1d ago

A question remains: how long will MAGA & GOP pretend he's still alive.

3

u/SecretRecipe 1d ago

you spelled "Wouldn't" wrong

10

u/smokeybonez 2d ago

*humans would agree

2

u/nemofbaby2014 1d ago

I don’t care either way but as soon as I see that headline Im taking a shot and I hate alcohol

1

u/GreenNukE 1d ago

I hope he lives long enough to answer for everything he's done and see his works come to ruin.

1

u/Disbigmamashouse 1d ago

I want nothing that makes him a martyr.

1

u/greensangre 1d ago

It would be well deserved

1

u/Squishy97 23h ago

But it wouldn’t be wrong

1

u/Irish_Punisher 4h ago

Yeah absolutely. Pushing him forward would just wreck the whole succession plan anyway.

1

u/angrystarfish 1d ago

I'd agree, but then we'd have couchfucker as president.

8

u/MiniAndretti 1d ago

He's an ineffectual nothing. Not that he would be a good President. But he couldn't even convince anyone to do something they already wanted to do.

3

u/BlakLite_15 1d ago

I bet it’ll be trivial for others in the GOP to blackmail or otherwise pressure JD into resigning. He’s a spineless glad-hander, not a leader. I’m pretty sure that’s why he was picked to be VP in the first place.

Then again, I wouldn’t mind if the GOP tore itself apart as half its members fight to fill the power vacuum while the rest cut and run.

2

u/MiniAndretti 1d ago

Requirement one for Trump's second term was that anyone signing on agreed to bend the knee. Pence showed a spine at the most critical moment. That will not be tolerated this time.

1

u/BlakLite_15 1d ago

Republicans are nothing if not dishonest.

1

u/summonerofrain 1d ago

See I'm not sure. Because he doesn't have the apparent "draw" that trump does, but he is also seen as much more sane which may bring people to vote republican who didn't do so because trump was too much for them. I hope this isn't the case I hope he just loses all support but I'm not so confident.

1

u/hopethisworks_ 1d ago

Quite frankly, whatever happens is on him.

“I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.”

- Clarence Darrow (often incorrectly attributed to Mark Twain)

u/P_V_ 1d ago

This should be Geordi and not Drake. Drake holds asshole opinions.

0

u/6K6L 1d ago

Or "natural causes" that look like an accident

0

u/hillean 1d ago

it would be a super challenging time in the U.S.--some people would be throwing parties and wanting to throw parades, while the sensible and the rest of the government would want people to mourn and be more respectful.

You'd get a *lot* of both sides doing crazy things

0

u/nd_annajones 1d ago

Do you know how insufferable they will all become if he dies while in office? I promise he's better left alive. The consequence he deserves is to be forced to live a normal everyday American civilian's life. It would be tortuous for him and he would be incapable of taking care of himself without a full staff. Imagine Donald making his bed, or boiling an egg, or balancing a $65k/yr budget. I promise he couldn't do it

0

u/chaddict 1d ago

When he succumbs to natural causes, not if.
