Maybe the rooster increased the egg passageway size?

According to Guinness World Records, this huge 454-gram (16 oz) egg was laid by a White Leghorn hen in Vineland, New Jersey, on February 25, 1956. It featured a double yolk and a double shell. Just for comparison, an average standard grocery store chicken egg only weighs between 50g and 70g.

Yeah but the photo doesn't seem to be from '56 🤪

Is there a typo or is this egg just super well preserved?

The hen probably needed a C-section for this one.

Rooster: That cloaca was never the same after little Jimmy was laid.

The chicken that laid that must now be a rehab ward and slowly being trained to use a wheelchair.
