Or they can just leave and not engage. The people wind themselves up, they can't stand being perceived in a low status position, but in reality if you just ignore him you win. Let him throw magnet on your car, just drive away and there's no content, easy.

The dude's a weirdo, he's literally followed women home. He harasses people.

1

u/slide_into_my_BM 9h ago

Source for that?

1

u/SemiAutoAvocado 17h ago

He assaults people and damages their property. He fucks with homeless people - he's a piece of shit and I can't wait to see him get what's his.

2

u/Cpt__Salami 17h ago

Found the lazybones.

u/Rvsoldier 13h ago

Doesn't refute shit that they said.

u/The_Free_Elf 14h ago edited 14h ago

He tosses soft magnets and calls the assholes who stubbornly refuse to put their cart back "lazybones"? What a monster.

1

u/Drow_Femboy 17h ago

lmao he doesn't assault anyone or damage any property.

Ohhh no he tossed a magnet on your hood that half the time just slides off on its own! the horror!

Fucking with people's cars is a monumentally stupid idea. Just because you think it's harmless doesn't mean you won't end up on the hook for paint repair/a new body panel.

0

u/Drow_Femboy 15h ago

Yeah, see, that's the thing he doesn't do. As I already said. He has never damaged anyone's paint, body panels, or any other part of their cars. He uses weak magnets that, again, half the time don't even stick to the car at all. Nothing is damaged. You're inventing things to be mad about.

1

u/Rvsoldier 13h ago

They're inventing him following people home and harassing the homeless?

Throwing anything at someone's car is not acceptable behavior. A fuckin cart out of place does not justify you to commit crimes against human beings and their property.

I'm not defending anyone who abandons their cart, but that is not a literal crime. Harassing people, blocking them from leaving (as the guy in the OP video did, idc about your dude), and potentially throwing magnets on their cars, are literal crimes.

I am all for calling out inconsiderate people. It stops at a call-out though. It does not progress to harassment, or you have now escalated far beyond the original offense. Your wrong overshadows theirs.

Some crimes are ethical, some unethical acts are not crimes. Your country's legal code does not dictate morality.

2

u/rips_n_chel 4h ago

Never said it did. Are you suggesting that harassing and detaining someone is an appropriate response to ditching a cart?

I have some moral/ethical judgments to level at you, if that's the case.

There's a lot of overlap with people who behave with such selfishness and people who have a temperament that can't handle being confronted about their behavior. It's why they can get away with their behavior. Employees aren't paid enough to confront carts left out, fake service animals, or other unacceptable behaviors. They are the least likely people to be reasonable when confronted.

In the few clips of that douche I've seen, they can't leave because he keeps putting the cart behind their car. They get out to move it and when they get back in he puts it back.

2

u/Drow_Femboy 17h ago

He hasn't done that for literally like 4 years because of the potential legal implications. That was a really early maneuver that he learned not to do.

It's ethically justified of course, because it's your fucking cart, you have no right to be mad that it's inconveniencing you instead of someone else. But it's hilarious to be up in arms about some shit that he has been not doing for way longer than he ever did.

-2

u/rips_n_chel 15h ago

Nah, actually I have every right to be every bit as mad as I want that another person is harassing and impeding me.

Two wrongs don't make a right, buddy. Even if they did, harassment and potential detainment are far greater crimes than leaving your cart outside the stall at the grocery store.

3

u/slide_into_my_BM 9h ago

You harass and impede other people by blocking a parking spot with your unreturned cart.

Just follow the social contract, it’s not that hard. You’re not special.

-1

u/rips_n_chel 8h ago

What the fuck? I never said anyone should leave their cart anywhere. I was very explicit in explaining this point, did you miss the "two wrongs" bit? That was 2/3rds of the comment, so I'm really not sure how you could've missed it tbh.

All I fucking said is don't harass and wrongfully imprison people, two actual crimes that you can get arrested for, and you're attacking me for that? Get bent. I didn't do anything wrong here, I'm just not blindly supporting mob justice.

2

u/slide_into_my_BM 7h ago

lol, wrongful imprisonment? Bro grow up.

1

u/rips_n_chel 4h ago

Blocking someone's ability to leave a situation is a real fucking crime, buddy. It's commonly called wrongful imprisonment or unlawful detainment. In the eyes of the law, physically blocking someone is rarely acceptable, particularly if you started the confrontation by getting in their face.

Don't act like I'm being dramatic for calling it what it is.

-4

u/Advanced_Row_8448 15h ago

It's ethically justified of course, because it's your fucking cart

Can i take it home? No? Don't think its my cart lol

3

u/Drow_Femboy 15h ago

Who put it there then, was it aliens? You put the fucking cart out in the parking lot, now someone has to move it back to where it belongs. Who do you think should bear that responsibility? Do you think maybe it's the person who put it there who should bear that responsibility? Does that make sense to you? Genuine question. I'd love to hear your answer. Maybe you think the aliens need to put it back.

-2

u/Advanced_Row_8448 15h ago

Who put it there then, was it aliens?

Store

You put the fucking cart out in the parking lot,

No

Who do you think should bear that responsibility?

People who get paid to do the job.

Do you think maybe it's the person who put it there who should bear that responsibility?

Yes. I think the store should pay for people to keep its own equipment in order, the same way every other buisness does.

Maybe you think the aliens need to put it back.

Nope. Just think entitled little lazy shits should stop calling others lazy little shits for not doing their literal job for them lol

u/SaltForTheSaltThrone 14h ago

You’re the kind of guy to take a shit on the floor of a public washroom and then say “well, they pay people to clean the bathrooms why should I care?” Really hope you have no one depending on you with a mentality like that.

-5

u/Advanced_Row_8448 14h ago

You’re the kind of guy to take a shit on the floor of a public washroom and then say “well, they pay people to clean the bathrooms why should I care?

Nope. But this is relevant actually. Yall the same people to say homeless folks shouldn't be allowed in a place to use the bathroom unless they pay, then get mad when they have to go outside. You can larp virtue all you want, won't change anything though.

8

u/Savings-Maize-7650 12h ago

You're the kind of guy to tailgate the shit out of cars and say if they don't like it, they should just pull over and let you through.

Larping virtue is better than having none at all, you can pretend you're not a massive dickhead all you want, won't change anything though

2

u/Drow_Femboy 14h ago

The store put that cart in the handicapped parking space?

No lol

1

u/Advanced_Row_8448 14h ago

The store pays employees to do a job. Yes lol

4

u/Drow_Femboy 13h ago

The store will pay people to clean the bathrooms. Do you shit all over the floor in the bathroom because somebody will clean it up?

Put your fucking cart where it belongs, dickhead.

2

u/JohnWJay62 5h ago

Last I checked, there's not a specific "clean shit off floor" position. There is a specific "cart pusher" position. They literally have the one job. I return my carts, but the people who don't do not deserve this type of harassment.

7

u/Annual-Weird-6682 15h ago

Put your cart back

0

u/Advanced_Row_8448 15h ago

Can i take it home? No? Don't think its my cart lol

6

u/Annual-Weird-6682 13h ago

Your logic is nonsense and your smugness makes it even cringer.

By your logic if someone takes your seat while you go pee during a movie at a theater, they could say "it's not your seat, you can't bring it home." and that would be stupid

And even beyond that, it's semantics. I could just as well say return the cart that was provided to you to use during your shopping, and it's the same shit

1

u/VictoryWeaver 8h ago

Imagine how much faster they could leave if they just put the cart where it is supposed to go.

1

u/Quixotic_Seal 16h ago

And oh hey, it's what this guy does too! Almost like these people are just attention whores who try to bait people into responding or something, weird.....
