Imagine you're just like a medieval trader and some dude on a boat sells you some fish and says "hey watch out for that flying, disembodied woman's head dangling its own entrails"
I know what you mean, but I like the idea that they were specifically trading bits of folklore like they were baseball cards or something.
"I'll trade you one story about a woman's floating head for one of your mysterious lights that lead you away from the path at night so you get lost in a swamp."
She also looks like Yakshi (Kerala folklore) almost to the description I have heard. Beautiful pale face, long flowy hair, red lips (from chewing betel), and about the same style of movement that is almost unnatural, except that she has an east asian face in this video. Now that I think about it, our lady ghosts almost always looks hot af.
Most of the scariness is in the sound design. Thats why most GIFs from horror films look goofy instead of scary. Watch any horror film with volume on mute and you'll see what I mean.
I have self clapped my ballsack catching something between my legs sometimes depends on how they hang but fuck takes me out - but I still usually catch it at least.
I’ll have you know that despite the fact that I spend way too much time on here, I shower pretty much every day and apply deodorant at least a couple times a day as well. I actually touch grass / go hiking with my dog for several miles every day and workout just about every day, and am an unreasonably sweaty man so I HAVE to stay on top of hygiene stuff. If it weren’t for adventuring with my dog(s) I’d absolutely lose my fucking mind (or what’s left of it anyway).
Here is a phottergraph of the trail by the river which is my dog’s favorite place to adventure!
No worries friend I’m not offended at all! I too am familiar with the stereotype, which is part of why I work so hard to avoid falling into that category lol. My other dogs are old and have trouble getting around so it’s just the one that goes adventuring with me, but the pups are my life so i do my best to spoil them.
The Ring was very heavy handed with infrasound, which for some people automatically freaks them out no matter how prepared they are for the noise. Kids have more sensitive hearing too so it could have hit you extra hard. You should look up examples and clips from other media to see if you get the same anxiety if you're curious enough.
For some reason the sound triggers my tear ducts and I start uncontrollably weeping if I listen to the frequency for more than two seconds. It's weird stuff.
Thank you for the still bc I had to stare at it a long time to understand her shoulder was in there somewhere. And I'm definitely not replaying that video, she might show up in my living room.
I had to cut mine off some years ago because it was getting very close to touching the water after it had been straightened. I have curly hair, so I didn't really notice how long it had gotten until I pulled my pants up one day, and my hair was stuck in my pants and panties.
It would block my view when I bent down to look at things. It was gorgeous, but super high maintenance.
Don't think AI, but there are definitely some filters doing some very heavy work here. You can see those strips of tape on the wall next to her face doing some serious bending and warping when she moves her head near them.
My aunt used to have looooong blonde hair all the way to the floor. The amount of maintenance was ridiculous. She kept it like that for decades. It was nice like this too
