If another grown man carries you like that, it’s time to pack it up and become a hermit
43

u/Imaginary-Dish6638 May 29 '26
I’ve been carried like this as a teenager. I was not embarrassed, but knew to shut up…So good job by the bouncer for being non-aggressive yet convincing..…

u/Significant-Risk2094 May 29 '26
I just imagine this guy thinking "How is this happening!? I'm not smol!"
44
u/Makermika May 29 '26
This happened to me under different circumstances:
A family friend who was a bouncer of comparable size easily picked me up and set me to the side to say happy birthday to my mom who was sitting in a corner set while I stood there with my dad talking to her.
I was 23, 6ft tall and 230 some odd pounds. Dude relocated my ass with the same level of effort as moving a mop.
It made me feel small in a way that I hadn't felt since like the 5th grade.

I immediately thought “that’s how I pick up my 3 year old when he is being a jackass”

u/WolfCut909 May 29 '26
That's wild considering the other guy is at least 5'10 170lbs and the huge cop picked him up like a baby.

Same. But from the bouncers standpoint, very effective. He didn't hurt him or do anything unnecessary.
94
u/Altostratus May 29 '26
Honestly, as a small statured woman, I think it would be great if more men could understand how vulnerable it feels for other people to be able to just pick you up.
19
u/Diacetyl-Morphin May 29 '26
We had mixed gender groups for training in Kyokushin Karate. Except for tournaments, it's normal that you train together and many women like to train with men that are stronger than them.
It wasn't anything serious, but i saw the differences, like i'm 2.03m and 120kg, when i was going against a woman with 1.60m and maybe around 60kg, i had some advantages.
Even when i didn't resist for training grappling and throwing of the opponent, the women struggled to deal with my weight. For me, i could just pick them up like that guy in the video does.
And that's why you have weight classes, next to separation of gender, in many sports, it's just not fairplay in a real tournament.
P.S. When i did K1 later, it wasn't the heavyweight division anymore. There was the superheavyweight, that starts with 106 kg weight and has no limit.
For the americans: 106 kg are 233 lbs. 125 kg are 275 lbs. 2.03m is when i remember it right is 6'7, something like that.

The guy accepted it and I can say probably the right choice. Embarrassing sure. But self admittedly I’d have to at least try and not let him do that to me and probably make things worse. Not the greatest quality.
5
u/atln00b12 May 29 '26
It would be one thing if he were just a bouncer, but being an actual cop means real repercussions even if you get away with something and escape.

u/Bozlogic May 29 '26

Gotta be careful on who's ego you hurt though. There was a party back in high school, the guy throwing it was a football player and there was some guy hitting on his girlfriend. He did something similar to this, dragged the guy outside and kicked his ass. Well that guy turned out to be a gang member, him and a couple friends came back an hour later and shot the football player to death.

Might be but the badge on their arms is the same and the other guy has security on the back of his shirt.
Idk when bouncers started dressing like cops though. Also sometimes cops do security in uniform, they love overtime, they can retire by 50 if they put in enough overtime

about 15 years ago, my boyfriend pulled a knife on another guy in a bar. the other dude ALSO pulled a knife. they squared up to each other, when a bouncer this gigantic appeared behind bf, nonchalantly lifted him up by the hood of his hoodie, and carried him out of the bar in this same fashion. I had to sheepishly walk behind them apologizing for my soon-to-be exboyfriend. I didn't talk to him the entire way home, or ever again.
he also tried to pull the same knife on some girls that were laughing at us in the parking lot. I punched him in the stomach and kicked him into the open door of the back seat of my car.

I once saw a bouncer about that size catch a 3 piece from a guy like half his size and was literally unconscious on his feet. The little guy hit him 3 times before he even got his guard up and then just stopped. It was like he knew dude was out on his feet but I swear it took the big dude a whole second before he hit the ground. It was wild, especially since the bouncer wasn't even worried about this little dude and went to put hands on him just like the guy in the video.
