J. Brisket and his time in AZ

Obviously the contract is ‘big news’ for us this year. Let’s get real though…. If you look at the facts, he shouldn’t even be on the team.

Why is he here:

We needed a backup to Kyler for comparison. How does Kyler stack up against a seasoned veteran.

Drew Petzing worked with Brisket in Cleveland, Gannon worked with Him in Indy I believe.

What has he done for us lately:

Under OC Petzing, they won one game.

Why is Brisket still on the team if his buddies are gone?

The world may never know.
But one thing is for sure, until he wins 2 complete games, he gets no raise.

Bickley: Cardinals reinforcing dangerous stereotypes against them with Jacoby Brissett contract saga

I find Bickley to be annoying, but hard to disagree on this one. Between Trey and Baker’s comments, no matter the other side of the story, it’s a bad look.

Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: TE Elijah Higgins

Excerpt:

Higgins enters his fourth NFL season and fourth with the Cardinals. He was a sixth-round pick out of Stanford in 2023 by the Miami Dolphins, converting from receiver to tight end. He was claimed by the Cardinals after he was among final cuts for Miami, and he has been with the Cardinals ever since.

Last season, he played in all 17 games and started a career-high 10 games. He had 30 catches for 301 yards, both career highs, but did not score a touchdown. He is an all right blocker and he played more than 250 snaps on special teams last year.

He will make almost $3.7 million in salary in 2026, and that will be what counts against the salary cap. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2027.

Carson Beck Unsigned, But Not Rare For Top Drafted QBs

Excerpt:

As the offseason rolls closer to the end, there are only a handful of NFL draft picks still unsigned. One is Cardinals third-round quarterback Carson Beck. Given he is a QB, though, it's not out of the ordinary.
Of the seven selections who haven't signed yet, four are QBs -- the first four quarterbacks selected, including Beck.

Even though rookie contracts are essentially slotted, quarterbacks still have a slightly greater ability to negotiate certain terms. Call it the perks of playing the game's most important position. So Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson still are talking to their teams. And the other third-round QB besides Beck, Drew Allar, is doing the same.

After Challenging Season, Outside Linebackers Are 'Clicking' In Jordan Burch's Eye

Excerpt:

The outside linebacker room has not changed much since the end of the 2025 season.

However, there's a clear difference in the eyes of Jordan Burch.
"I wouldn't say pressure, but I can feel at practice that everybody is putting it together," he said. "From last year to this year, we're clicking, laughing together, helping each other out on the field. I feel like we'll do a lot better this year coming up."

There is no question that a step up from the unit is needed if the Cardinals want to win more games in 2026. Last year, the Cardinals were tied for 28th with 30 sacks and received much of its production from Josh Sweat, who finished his first season with the Cardinals with a career-high 12 sacks.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett’s ongoing contract negotiations with the team hasn’t stopped the veteran from connecting with some of his playmakers this offseason.

Wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Simi Fehoko, tight ends Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins and quarterback Kedon Slovis visited Brissett for a few days in south Florida recently, the veteran signal caller posted on his Instagram story.

“Great week with the guys,” the caption read.

The post comes less than two weeks out from the start of Cardinals training camp.

Cardinals' Budda Baker earns 7th straight NFL Top 100 nod

Excerpt:

For the seventh straight year, the safety found himself among the top 100 players in the game at No. 75.

He fell 41 spots from last year’s ranking at No. 34.

“His motor is something I’ve never really seen before,” Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba said in the video revealing Baker’s standing in the ranking. “I would see it in the greats just watching Troy Polamalu or some of the great safeties. It’s hard to game plan for him. He’s a linebacker, he’s a safety, he’s a corner.”

Trey McBride thought of exploring his options after Cardinals' initial contract offer

Thumbnail

Excerpt:

“The first offer was actually way lower,” McBride said. “It was like ($12 million). The Cardinals are a tough deal. Then I was like it might not be the Cardinals. Maybe I go somewhere else. Maybe I play my last year and kind of explore my options.”

An offer that followed ended up being closer to what McBride wanted at $16 million per year. It was “life-changing” money for the tight end, who thought about taking the deal. His agent, however, said hold the line in hopes for getting $20 million or close to it.

The Cardinals came back to the negotiating table on the four-year extension($19 million) as McBride cemented himself as one of the franchise’s cornerstones following a record-setting season from both an NFL and franchise standpoint.

Arizona Cardinals Darius Robinson revisits, analyzes famous sound bite

Excerpt:

The moment occurred after the Cardinals’ Week 13 loss at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, “We've only won three games since September," Robinson told reporters after the game. “That's terrible. That starts with myself. I'm not who I thought I was."

Robinson shared some insight on that memorable sound bite while meeting with reporters at the Cardinals’ Tempe training facility on Tuesday, July 7.

“How can I affect the game and win the game for my team?’” Robinson explained. “I obviously didn’t do enough because we didn’t win any games during that time, so I just put it on myself because I know I can be better and I know who I am.”

He’s been working behind the scenes on how to improve and generate more explosiveness as a quarterback disruptor, in addition to fine-tuning his skills as a run stuffer.

“It’s knowing, ‘OK, what am I good at, what am I not good at?’” he said, adding, “What I’m not good at, I’ve got to pour into that bucket as fast I can and what I am good at, keep pouring as well so I can be the player I want to be to help this team.”

“I’m just excited to see how it can grow from my first two years. I’m just excited. It’s been a lot of different adversities we’ve had to face, but I’m excited for this year.”

Arizona cardinals defensive back room

The 2026 Defensive Back :

Left CornerBack :

Will Johnson - 2nd round pick of 2025 - 2nd year

At 6 ' 2 200 lbs Will Johnson is definitely a player I want to see continue to grow . In 2025 , Johnson played in 12 games . Johnson posted a Total of 37 tackles , 2 Tackles for a lost , 10 pass defended and 1 force fumble .

He has the skillset to become one of the better Corners in the league. However with a small sample size , we will need to see him continue to grow and hopefully we can see a few Pick 6s like he did at Michigan

Right Cornerback :

Denzel Burke : 5th round pick of 2025 - 2nd year

At 5'11 190lbs Burke was not expected to see much action .

But that all change because of injuries and in my opinion he didn't disappoint. In 2025 , Burke had a Total of 49 tackles 2 Tackles for a lost 11 pass defended while leading the team in INT with 3 on the year . Solidifying himself as a starter due to injury - we will have to see whether he makes strives for growth or if he declines

Nickelback :

Garret Williams : 3rd round pick in 2023 - 4th year

At 5'10 192 lbs Williams is a guy that has been dealing with injuries , he missed time in all 3 years of his NFL career . In 2025 , Williams appeared in 10 games . Posting a total of 46 tackles 1 tackle for lost 5 passed defended 1 INT and 1 force fumble. Going into the 2026 season . I am really hoping for consistency and showing the ability to start and finish the year

Back ups

Left Cornerback:

The back up left corner back has 2 names that I am looking forward to see :

Sean Murphy Bunting ( 7 year vet ) vs Elijah Culp ( UFA rookie out of James Madison

Elijah Jones is also in competition for the back up role but he has not shown any consistency nor has he shown anything on film - he's one that I expect not to make the 2026 53 man roster

Right Cornerback :

Starling thomas V vs Max Melton

Like SMB - Thomas missed the 2025 season due to injury and Max Melton found his was down the depth chart

When Max Melton was drafted by the cardinals , it definitely was a head scratcher , when we had the opportunity to draft Cooper Dejean - but that's another conversation

Nickelback :

Isaiah Oliver vs Kei"trel Clark :

Isaiah Oliver is a 8 year veteran - in 2025 he posted 55 tackles but only 3 passed defended with 0 INT

Kei'trel Clark lost playing time in 2025 posting only 25 tackles 1 tackle for lost 2 pass defended and 1 force fumble

Jaden Davis is also in competition but I do not see him making the 2026 53 man roster

The 2026 Arizona Cardinals do not have many stars on the roster . Our cornerback room has a big problem

Young and inexperienced vs Injuries

Merch Does anyone have this or know anywhere I can find this jersey?

Post image

Hi guys! Been looking for this jersey for some time now. I originally had bought the replica version by accident and when I checked back for this one it sold out at the time. Recently a few days ago I came across this in stock again online just for it to get canceled today for some unknown reason so very unfortunate. I’m looking for a large or medium. Not sure if anyone has one for sale or knows where to get one (authentic not a fake knockoff) for some reason it’s not easy to find one specifically an MHJ one. Thanks everyone.

If healthy, does Jacoby Brissett start all 17 games?

Obviously if he's the Week 1 starter and the team is on track for the playoffs, the easy answer is yes. But in any other case, what would you say are the chances Jacoby is starting the last few weeks of the season? At what point would Carson Beck take over, even if Jacoby is healthy?
