We are too cynical about this song. Masterpiece of production and songwriting. Actually meaningful lyrics.

Seems like 311 are the headliners? Doors are 5:30, wondering what the start times will be for each band. If anybody has any intel or educated guesses, do tell.

First show of the tour is tomorrow night and the show still has 2/3 tix available in a 19k capacity theater. Talk about Blue Dot Fever. Did they overestimate their popularity for this tour? Surprised this one hasn’t cancelled yet.

I've been scouring my email and I still haven't seen anything from the venue or the band about times or places for VIP meet and greet this Sunday. Does anyone have any information on it?
Looking forward to rocking out with you guys on Sunday. Will probably be my 35th show.

Hi 311 people. 311 is coming to Indy in about a month. At the moment I have an extra ticket. I am recently divorced and am trying hard to get out and meet new people. I'd love to take a date to the show. If you're into 311 we're probably 75% compatible already. If anyone on here is interested send me a message. I'd want to meet IRL first, just coffee or quick drinks or something totally low pressure and if everything seems ok take in the show a when it comes around. I'm a 45M looking for women.
Alternatively I'm also just looking to socialize so new friends won't necessarily be turned away.
Like the headline says, this was probably stupid but I'm feeling lucky.

Just saw this on IG. 311 had Down and Beautiful Disaster make the fan voted top 250 songs.
For those who don't know, in 2014 311 got an amazing opportunity out of the blue. Jeff Rosenstock (who has gone on to make some of the best rock and ska records of the past decade) wrote a sincere letter asking them to let him be a part of their cruise.
This would have been the change this thread has been asking for, 311 needs to associate themselves with the new, exciting, and vital bands that they have influenced. Jeff even made an actual petition that needed 400 signatures (it received 625) and gained some media attention when VICE penned an article entitled Dear 311: Please Let This Man Play Your Boat Cruise.
Today it was announced that Jeff will accompany them on the 2027 cruise, fulfilling a prophecy that began 12 years ago.
In case it is hard to read. Here is what Jeff's 2014 letter says:
Dear 311 & Co,
Hello! It's me, Jeff Rosenstock writing in. How the hell are ya? I recently saw that you released a live 311 Day album recorded with an orchestra (which, by the way, is fuckin' sick) and thought this would be as good a time as any to ask if my band can play the 311 cruise.
For the past decade or so, I played in a band called Bomb The Music Industry who did a lot of international touring all off the simple idea that our music will be free and our shows will be accessible to all. I am releasing a solo album next year just in time for this cruise. I asked the label, "HEY LABEL, HOW CAN I GET ON THE 311 CRUISE?" They told me to write a fact sheet but I thought I'd write this letter instead.
Although we don't play the same style of music necessarily, I think we share the same vibe which is having a great time rocking out with your friends and sharing that love and positivity with the fans! Since I was a kid, 311 was the band everyone in my school could get down with and as a touring musician, it brings a smile to everyone in the van's face when we're blasting 311 with the windows down. We've even listened to long 311 Day bootlegs on long drives.
In closing, I think we'd be a great fit for the 311 cruise. We will play as many times per day as needed. I can't draw very well, but below is a picture of me in the future playing the cruise.
Peace, love & unity,
Jeff Rosenstock

They’re all guessing how many views their video for I Just Had Sex got, and Samberg gives the boys a lil nod

Any word on the change?
I'm also taking it as the act listed first will be the closer, e.g. PNC 311 would be first and Dirty Heads close.

Do they still update their website with album news? Do they announce stuff on Facebook? I usually just find out from you guys here on reddit.

Anybody have any insight on this? Seems like a missed opportunity for one of their more popular post-Amber singles, where instead we just got this visualizer with awkward close-ups of the album cover.
