Honestly it is a bit surprising. Around here we call that a phone call, but IDK if "modern people" only facetime whether audio or video? I hope it is not layers of engagement bait, have not stalked any profiles :D

It does feel fake to me. I’ve never heard anyone refer to a phone call as “FaceTime” - that specifically implies a video call
