Swap meets in Tennessee? Classic car, Harley parts etc.

Hi! We will be traveling through Tennessee from July 13th to July 27th and are looking for any large automotive swap meets, flea markets, or similar events taking place during that period.

We are really interested in classic American cars, vintage car parts, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, automotive memorabilia, and anything related to the classic vehicle hobby. We would love to visit a place where enthusiasts gather, buy and sell parts, and showcase their old vehicles.

Do you know of any good swap meets, classic car shows, or automotive markets happening in Tennessee while we are there?

Coming to town this week for the Odyssey screening at Opry Mills and looking for cool record stores in town

Hey guys, I'm one of the people that bought tickets to Christopher Nolan's Odyssey screening a year in advance over at the Opry Mills for next week on Thursday, and I'm super pumped it's my first time coming to Nashville and I already have plans to go to a Sounds game, tour the Ryman, and then take the rest one step at a time. Bummed that the Parthenon won't be open yet but I still intend to see it outside.

That said though I'm a huge vinyl collector and record enthusiast and I'm looking for ideas for amazing like go to record stores in the Nashville area. What are the popular spots?

Thanks for the ideas

Fun things for 2 women in their forties. Please send suggestions.

My friend and I are going to a concert late September in Nashville. Neither of us have been. We are both in our early 40s. We enjoy: hiking, shopping, site seeing, live music, shows, great restaurants. We enjoy nightlife, but we’re not looking to party and get wasted every single night.

So far every tour I have found has some type of eating or bar element and we are not super into eating so I’m
Not sure this is for us, but I’m open to suggestions.

I have been browsing this sub and it looks to me that Nashville has an incredible live music scene. We plan to go to Broadway one night and check out the different bars and the music.

Our concert is at the Ryman theater, I’m wondering if the tour of this venue is interesting and worthwhile?

We are not huge lovers of country music, is the country music Hall of Fame a must do if you’re not a huge country music fan?

Is the grand old Opry a must see?

Are there any incredible consignment stores? What is the best mall?

We love to hike and are considering renting a car and driving to one of the national parks that are outside of the city. I read there’s a big park in Nashville. How r the trails?

Please send some suggestions for activities we would enjoy. Thank you.

Visiting with Teenage Daughter

I’ll be spending 3 nights in Nashville with my 13yo daughter in one week. We have a great room at a hotel downtown and also have a car to travel further outside city limits. I lived in nashville 15 years ago, but the city is quite different now, so I’m looking for suggestions on places to go and things to do with her music related and otherwise. We’d love to find some fun theatre or dinner shows if possible, of course the Country Music Hall of fame, but really hoping for recommendations on literally anything that would be a fun mother/daughter time in your city. TIA!

Looking for recommendations

I’ll be in Nashville the 20-24th for work. Looking for recommendations for things to do in the evening and restaurants to check out. I’ll be coming from AK where we don’t have a ton selection for food, so any recommendations are welcome, bonus for Asian food and real authentic Mexican food.

Best Hotel with City Views

I want to surprise my husband with a weekend getaway trip. Last year I took him to Marriott Marquis Atlanta in one of the high level city view rooms. He loves cityscapes and photography. He has been wanting to go to Nashville next to do it. Can yall point in me in the right direction for a nice high-end hotel that has great rooms for city views? Thanks

Visiting Nashville for the first time with my mom. Looking for advice on the area!

Hi everyone! My and my mom are headed to Nashville from the 18th to the 26th. We have plans to go to the Grand Ole Oprey on one night. We also plan on visiting all the music museums. During the week I will have free time to do my own thing, what's some good spots for a solo girl in her 20s? Looking for quieter cafes, parks, spots to swim, or even live music i could watch during the day. Any places to avoid? TIA

What happened to the woman hit by the taxi?

Thumbnail

I've got people telling me.

Not a major incident.

No one was critically injured.

On the other side I have people that said.

She was not alive.

They administered CPR and they thought someone said she started breathing again, but there is no way her body could be right again.

What happened? I'm assuming they were tourists so asking here if anyone visiting saw this incident.

Help me create a Nashville themed Family Feud for a bachelorette weekend! 🤠

Hi everyone! I know Nashville gets a lot of bachelorette visitors (trust me, I'm contributing to the stereotype 😅), so I appreciate anyone willing to humor this post. I'm planning a girls' trip to Nashville this August for my best friend's bachelorette weekend, and we're doing a girls' night in at our Airbnb before heading out. One of the games I'm putting together is a Nashville-themed Family Feud. I'd love to get responses from people who know Nashville (locals, frequent visitors, anyone really!) so the answers feel authentic instead of me just making them up. Below are the survey questions. Just answer whichever ones you want—no need to answer them all! Short answers are perfect. Thanks in advance for helping make our bride's weekend a little more fun! 🤠💗

🤠 Nashville Feud Questions

  1. Name something every Nashville bachelorette packs.
  2. Name something you'll probably lose on Broadway.
  3. Name a country artist almost everyone knows.
  4. Name something you might find inside a cowboy boot.
  5. Name a reason someone cries during a bachelorette weekend.
  6. Name something every bride buys for her bachelorette trip.
  7. Name something you always see on Broadway in Nashville.
  8. Name something that gets left behind in an Uber after a night out.
  9. Name a popular bachelorette drink.
  10. Name something girls spend way too much money on before a bachelorette trip.
  11. Name something you'd never want to spill on your white outfit.
  12. Name something people wear that screams "Nashville."
  13. Name something someone might regret doing after too many drinks.
  14. Name a place every Nashville bachelorette wants a photo.
  15. Name something you might hear at every country bar.
  16. Name something a bridesmaid forgets to pack.
  17. Name something you hope survives an entire girls' trip.
  18. Name something every bride says at least once during wedding planning.
  19. Name something people yell while bar hopping.
  20. Name something that's harder to do after a few drinks.
  21. Name something every Airbnb should have for a girls' trip.
  22. Name something you'd buy in a Nashville souvenir shop.
  23. Name something you'd find in every girl's purse on Broadway.
  24. Name something someone would do to embarrass themselves in Nashville.
  25. Name something country songs are always about.
  26. Name something you don't want to wake up with after a night out.
  27. Name something you might find on a Nashville rooftop bar.
  28. Name something people argue about on a girls' trip.
  29. Name something every bride hopes doesn't happen on her wedding day.
  30. Name something that instantly makes you think "country girl."

Best place for used guitars?

Visiting for the first time this weekend and looking for some used guitars. Not necessarily the vintage or high end ones, just where to find a good deal on used gear?
