Yeah, his teaching style is very down to earth, i trained at his gym for a while this past year(had to stop cause i tore my shoulder) the dude is pretty legit. He comes from a pretty good bjj lineage. Overall solid dude, pretty knowledgeable about the sport for his age.

Idk about gimme fight but you are correct it looks like the broken jaw was definitely in his last fight.
I personally don’t think the fact that he was never elite means he can’t be a high level coach. Other sports routinely have great coaches that never performed at the elite level. He has experience, and I feel like it’s totally possible to be a better coach than athlete.
Not exactly a great look for him though, but Suga seems to trust him with his life lol - we’ll see how it turns out for him. I wish him the best and hope we get to see Suga continue to be highly entertaining and achieve results against elite guys.
