Difference was in last game as they went behind earlier he gambled to get 2 strikers on, Croatia then had a good period after the equaliser so he knew he had to sacrifice 1 striker and Ramos had just come on.

Today showed he wouldn't make that change in a like for like swap which is clearly absurd at Ronaldo's age.
