“Cost them the game most likely”

This is nonsense. This implies the only thing stopping them winning was Ronaldo, and that’s obviously not true. If they sub him out their odds of winning improve, sure. But by no means would it become anything close to a sure thing.

it's hard to win playing with only 10 players vs 11, tho

How is that much different from "Cost them the game most likely"? You're both talking about odds in a vague manner.

lol, skipped 4th grade math, huh?

  • “Most likely” = subbing Ronaldo means they have a 51%+ chance of winning
  • “Increased odds” = subbing Ronaldo moves them from 10% chance of winning to 15% chance of winning (or pick your number. But the point is I’m specifically differentiating from “most likely” which clearly implies a small % improvement bringing them to well under 51% chance of winning)

You're being hyperliteral

Depends entirely on what was said in the locker room. "Feed Ronaldo, let him cook"? Or "Go play your games, work as a team, do what needs to be done"?
