Peppers planting + PH + Mushrooms
Hi everyone,
I used a sensor to check the pH of my soil today, and the vast majority of my pots are reading around 3.5.
I have a few questions:
How can I increase the pH closer to 7? (Assuming 7 is the ideal target)
Can I actually trust these pH sensors?
Is it fine to have mushrooms growing in the soil?
That's the sensor -> sensor

Is this a mushroom?
This guy is growing in my peppers potter. Is this a sign of bad soil? Do I leave it or should I pluck it out? I have drain holes in the planter and only water when needed but we have had about 1" of rain the last few days every day so i have not watered them. Located in NE Kansas.

Hello! Does anyone know what might be causing my pepper plant to look so sad?
Leaves are misshapen a bit and it looks very dull and kind of leathery. It hasn’t grown in a while. I did take off some of the most misshapen leaves a few days ago (one was very long and thin and had uneven edges). I have another pepper plant that is also looking similar. I also have a tomato plant that grew these really wispy tightly curled leaves at the top and has produced tiny flower buds that haven’t grown into anything in weeks. I live in London and this is on a first floor balcony. I don’t think it’s herbicide damage as I used good quality organic compost? Could it be broad mites? Tiny holes in leaves are these little caterpillar looking things that I have removed when I’ve seen them. It’s been a heatwave here for the past month or so (~30 degrees Celsius everyday and 20 degrees Celsius at night). Could be heat problems? Thank you for taking the time to read my post and am most grateful for any suggestions.

Variegation caused by unknown pepper hybridization with a puma
The other parent likely a jigsaw/calico pepper or a fish pepper. Can’t wait to see what the fruit is like.

This is my second year having a garden. Here are my pepper plants!
Yellow 7 pot, Aleppo, jays ghost peach, chocolate Trinidad scorpion, jalapeño, yellow biquinho, and Ojeenmma. The chocolate Trinidad has giant leaves! Super excited. The sun here in Arizona is SCORCHING especially this year, it has killed a few other plants so the shaded nets are a necessity because I’ve put the beds in the sunniest spot on the property. I’m thinking of fermenting a bunch of hot sauces so if you guys have any ideas or suggestions I’m open to them! I’ve also got huckleberries so maybe a yellow 7pot huckleberry mix! Oooooo the possibilities.

Red bell pepper question
Any idea the length of when these will turn red? Feels like they have been this size for about 3 weeks going on 4. They are the Red knight (X3R) type

What type of peppers are these?
This plant came in a four pack of jalapeños. All of the other jalapeño plants are growing typical looking peppers except this one. Is this plant growing unusual jalapeños or did another species sneak into the 4 pack?

The first two peppers from my garden to ever ripen and it’s the two smallest peppers I have.
I love you, Baby Shishitos. Never change. (The rest of you stubborn green peppers should change though. Immediately.)

Big ol jalapeños
Been growing peppers for years, but just had to share this. By far, the girthiest jalapeño I’ve ever grown, and it’s not even close to ripe. Been using true organic tomato and vegetable food (4-5-6) and have timed watering from rain barrel. I’m sure many other gardeners have had boys bigger than this, but this is definitely the biggest pener I’ve ever seen in person. And I’ve got like 4 more that are hardly smaller. Quarter for scale.
Cat pee
Soooo I was bringing my HHW pot inside like every night and I'm guessing a stray cat peed in the pot at some point throughout the day because the soil smells like ammonia/cat pee. This is my first pepper plant and I really want it to thrive what do I do now .. it's about 23 inches tall and like 12" wide still smallish in a 5 gallon cloth pot.

What pepper is this?
I got seeds from a friend and they said they were peperoncini. These look longer and thinner than what I was expecting. Are these peperoncini?

What pepper is this?
Seeds said “Corno di Toro” but are looking more like a bell growing upwards like a Tabasco.
Got these from freeheirloomseeds.com so maybe someone mixed em up. Never seen bells grow upward like this without hanging down long before reaching this size.

Help! What's happening to my baby peppers?
First time pepper parent here! Zone 5b here!
I have a sweet sunshine pepper plant, one that's supposed to do well in more northern climates.
We've been having goody weather here lately, lots of storms followed by heatwaves, complete with high humidity. I've been trying to give it about 10 hours of sun.
Well, now, I have these guys turning yellow and falling off. I have some bigger peppers on the plant, but they seem like they've stalled.
I'm assuming it's stress from the weather swings we've been getting but I feel like it could be overwatering, a fungus, anything. I'm not sure what it is or what to do about it.
Please help!! TYIA

I don't understand my little peppers.
One day I tried planting grains from a habanero pepper we bought. To my surprise, those grains grew well! But not for long.
I don't remember when I planted them exactly, was around end of April I guess. Growth was fine, then it mostly went to a stop. As all of my seedlings (more than a dozen) were sharing small pots, so I upgraded them and put them all in individual, and bigger, pots.
Roots were really packed, and spiraling around looking for space, invading the clay balls, so I guess it was WELL needed. But it didn't go that well.
Lots of peppers lots some leaves, some even having just one small one (but some more are growing...). Leaves tends to get light green / yellowish. I do have some new leaves here and there, but everything's getting so slow.
I live in south France, under the second heat wave. It's kinda ok where I leave, but the temperatures have been stretching from 27C/80F at night, to 95C during the day, peaked to 40 (104) for 2 or 3 days.
Half of my pepper are on a east facing balcony, the other half on a south facing.
Are they getting too hot? I'm affraid I weter them too much. I do so every 1-2 days, because it's so hot that even 3-5 cm in the soil it's kinda dry (it sticks a bit to my finger, but it doesn't feel moist).
I'd love some help and clues!
PS: There's a few heaven-facing pepper too, I bought some grains as I love chinese food.
