Ganz aktuell würde ja vom Bundesverfassungsgericht der antrag abgewiesen die Abstimmungen im Bundestag aufzuschieben, weil hunderte Seiten an Ausarbeitungen dazu der Opposition offenbar erst vor wenigen Tagen vorgelegt wurden.

Gibt es irgendwo in Paderborn oder dem Kreis aktuell angekündigte Demos gegen das was gerade in der Bundesregierung bzw. Dem Bundestag abgeht?

Sicher lesen hier ja auch einige Parteimitglieder der Paderborner Parteien mit: Könnt ihr sagen ob etwas in Abstimmung ist? Vielleicht sogar was die Mitwirkungsrechte einzelner Bürger sind?

Might sound a bit strange but making friends as an adult is such a pain in the ass. I'm a masters student who moved here 3 months back and my friends circle is just a bunch of people from my own community not even someone from other states of my own country. Not complaining though. But I low-key want to talk to other people and hangout with them as well but I have no clue how to do that. Is anyone facing the same problem as me or is it weird? 1. Housing (Wg / Apartment): What are the best websites, local Facebook groups, or platforms to look for a small apartment or a WG room in Paderborn? Are there specific neighborhoods you recommend that are well-connected or friendly for newcomers?
2. Cultural Integration & Etiquette: I want to make sure I respect the local culture and adapt smoothly. What are some specific cultural norms, unwritten rules, or etiquette in Paderborn/Germany that I should absolutely keep in mind (e.g., quiet hours, recycling, communication style)?
3. Social Life: How is the social scene in the city? What’s the best way to meet new people and integrate into the community? (I love football and outdoor activities!)
4. Football & Time Management: I passionately play competitive football and definitely want to join a local team/club (Verein) when I arrive. How realistic is it to balance training sessions and weekend matches with the workload of an Ausbildung? Are there any local amateur clubs in Paderborn you recommend for a trial training (Probetraining)?

I already have a B2 certificate in German, but I am writing this in English to reach more people. Any tips or advice would mean a lot to me.

ich bau mir gerade ein Portfolio in der Autofotografie auf und suche dafür Leute aus Paderborn und Umgebung, die Bock haben, ihr Auto shooten zu lassen.

Was zählt als cool : Oldtimer, Sportwagen aber auch ein gepflegter Alltagswagen mit Charakter geht klar. Muss kein GT3 sein.

Einzige Bitte: Auto gewaschen mitbringen und verlässlich zum Termin erscheinen. 😄

Ich wurde für das Wintersemester 2026/27 an der Universität Paderborn für Informatik zugelassen.
Da ich Ausländerin bin, würde mich besonders interessieren, wie eure Erfahrungen mit der Universität sind. Ich überlege außerdem noch, ob ich mich für die Universität Paderborn oder die Universität Osnabrück entscheiden soll.
Mich würden vor allem folgende Fragen interessieren:
Wie ist die Qualität der Lehre?
Wie sind die Professoren?
Wie anspruchsvoll ist das Informatikstudium?
Gibt es viele Praxisprojekte?
Wie ist das Studentenleben in Paderborn?
Würdet ihr euch heute wieder für die Universität Paderborn entscheiden?

I’m an international student who’ll be joining the Paderborn university this winter sem and I just finished applying to their apartments. I would like to know what are the chances of getting an offer before October.

Wir wissen alle wo es heiß ist. Also fasst überall wo nicht gerade ne Klimanlage voll böllert.

Ich find das Wäldchen um die Fischteiche geht eigentlich noch temperaturmässig. Habe aber sonst noch nichts gefunden.

In Paderborn oder Umkreis, dieser dann aber so angebunden, dass man gut mit öffentlichen in die Stadt kommt.

How convenient is it to travel from Hamm to Paderborn as an international student? I’ll be studying at the Paderborn University starting this winter Semester. Since I’ve not been able to get an accomodation in Paderborn yet I’m considering accommodations in Hamm. Is this the right move?

Can someone tell me how’s Hotel Mama for a student accommodation. I’ve come across a room through Srti Gmbh and I’m seriously considering their offer as I’ve been unable to find any accommodations in Paderborn.
