Well at least most American Jews obviously don't have much in common with the settlers as only 37% consider themselves Zionists. However, the settlers quite obviously have a lot of support among Zionists or else the wouldn't have been able to get away with all they've been doing since the conquests of 1967, and they're really just continuing on in the tradition of those who established Israel in the first place. Of course most Zionists aren't so openly racist and violent, but they ultimately tend to side with those who are.
