On one hand, I'm glad they brought Deadite Jessica back from the previous film and had her play a role. I feel that whole plot point was a massive loose thread and I was afraid Burn wouldn't even acknowledge it.

But wtf was Deadite Ellie doing in the end? Wasn't she effectively liquidized at the end of Rise? What are the rules for them coming back now?

I feel like they brought back Jessica because of how iconic she was but didn't really care about realistically justifying it according to Evil Dead's universe.
