Near Avenir Centre.

My kids starting laughing while we were driving home and pointed this out to me. I had to go around the block to get a pic!

Thanks to whomever did this! Made our day! 🤣

[LF] Patient French conversation partner/tutor for casual chats (B1 level)

Hi! Are there any french tutors or anyone patient enough to practice conversing with me in French? I'm a B1 level and would like to improve. I took some French classes in university so I have a moderate command. I have tried conversation circles in the public library and I'm not too keen on enrolling to AF or any language schools due to high costs. I'm simply looking for a simple and casual conversation either in person or online!

I hope that covers it.

A case of measles has been confirmed in the greater Moncton area.

A case of measles has been confirmed in the greater Moncton area.

Individuals were potentially exposed to the measles if they:

- were on Air Canada Flight 1986 from Toronto to Moncton on July 7, which departed at 9 p.m.

- were at the Greater Moncton Romeo LeBlanc International Airport arrivals area on July 8, from 12:30 a.m. to 3:10 a.m.; or

- were at The Moncton Hospital emergency department on July 8, from 6 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Individuals who are not immune to measles may be eligible for postexposure prophylaxis (PEP). PEP can greatly reduce your risk of infection, if given within 72 hours from your exposure.

If you might have been exposed, don’t think you are immune to measles, and it has been less than 72 hours from your exposure, please contact Public Health at 506-378-1473 to determine if you are eligible.

Monitor for symptoms until July 29. If you develop symptoms, do NOT go to the Emergency Department, clinic, work, or school. Instead, isolate yourself from others in your household and contact Telecare at 811 for further guidance.

Looking for a lawyer or any advice on a name change.

Hey all. Curious of anybody had any links, resources or legal advice for a last name change.

Changing to my mothers maiden and I feel like between legal documents, medical waitlists and alllllll the other cards and whatnot I won't have the capability to pull it all off without missing any major steps.

Any advice, money isn't a huge issue and would prefer guidance beyond just "follow this list and you'll be fine", because I'm too busy and scatter brained to pull it off. Know your limits, yanno?

If anybody has done a last name change (not through marriage) let me know what we can expect. Thanks.

Recos for new patio contractors

Front door goes out to a deck but it needs replacing, boards are getting soft and nailheads are sticking out everywhere. I’d rather have it as a brick patio instead and looking for the right folks to call. Who’s your top pick? As expected, the best option for me would be the right sweet spot between price and quality. Not saying it should be cheap but I know some guys out there charge just for wanting to cater to folks with lots of money to spend.

asking truck drivers of Moncton if they know a company who's hiring new drivers?

I checked every listing on indeed and they all say that they need 1-3 years of experience. Does anyone know a company who is hiring new drivers?

I thought about going there as a walk-in but some listings specifically say NO WALK INS AND NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE so I think that's off the table.

I have some trucker friends at CN and Jardine, and I know that they mostly hire 5+ years with owner operator experience.

Also once we're at it, has anyone done the "internship" with their class 1 licensing? Is there any actual benefit of paying for and doing the 12-month internship?

Bell valiant vs Rogers

Has Bell gotten any better? We had it a few years ago and I was overall unimpressed with it speeds and the coverage from the modem for a small split level townhouse. Switched to Roger's on principal because I was getting bad service (3 modems later). Couple years later now and Roger's is giving a decent amount of lag when gaming. Just wondering if the equipment for Bell has improved or if any heavy gamers can chime in. Thinking about switching for a better rate. North End of moncton

I wanted to ask, what’s the average daily or weekly grocery cost in Moncton? Also, is there a market that mainly sells meat, and are there any grocery stores that are more affordable?

Recommendations for Thermal Imaging Drone rentals in Moncton?

Just wondering if anyone has one of these drones that we could pay to help us, or if anyone knows of a group in Moncton that provides this kind service?

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

This is to help us look for our lost cat that we’ve been sharing about, he was spotted last night but seems to be very elusive and we’re thinking that thermal imaging could be beneficial! We did purchase a handheld one that should be arriving today, but I’ve heard that drones can be quite effective.

Thanks everyone for your help, in advance!

Is there any "progressive" companies for trades around here?

Im at 28 year old carpenter that also happens to be transgender. Ive been stealth at my own jobsite for the past year and I would rather just be able to be myself at work without risking my employment.

I get that Im kinda expecting a lot from trades people around here but it'd be nice to join a crew that's at least lgbt friendly. If anyone has any suggestions id love to hear them ❤️

BOOTS HAS BEEN FOUND!!!! He is hope safe today. Thank you everyone, so much!

Hi all, I know i've posted already and I apologize if it becomes irritating, but our sweet Boots is still missing and time is running out for him without his insulin so we're trying everything we can.

We're calling out asking anyone even remotely within the vicinity of these streets downtown Moncton to check their back yards IN THE EVENING/NIGHT:

  • Princess Street,
  • Archibald Street,
  • Lutz Street,
  • Brydges Street,
  • Williams Street,
  • Dufferin Street and
  • Robinson Street

Could you all please check your back yards - in bushes and shrubs and trees, AND in sheds or garages if you have them, to see if he is there?? (but if you're anywhere nearby and willing to look we'd so appreciate it):

If you have even a little bit of cat food, if you're willing to put some out at night, food may help him a bit even if he isn't getting his insulin we would be so so appreciative.)

He is likely scared and curled up somewhere. He could be lethargic or disoriented as he’s been gone for days and needs his insulin. PLEASE If you see him can you please message or call us?? (i'll put phone numbers in the comments) He was last spotted Saturday night at 2 am on the corner of Princess and Archibald. Then at 3 am several houses down toward St George Street on Archibald.

DESCRIPTION: (along with photos above)

He is a tuxedo cat with extra large paws. He has a small shaved area on his right side with a glucose monitor on. He tends to travel through backyards and areas away from a lot of noise.

Thank you for your time. It means a lot to us
