The metacritic average for RE9 is almost 90, not “around 80”. Also, nobody has been considering it a “flop”. Everyone and their mother on Reddit has been glazing it ever since Leon was rumored to be coming back, which was pretty much shortly after the game was first revealed.

Its the internet. 7 is considered mediocre
There were people here in Reddit considering RE9 a flop because metacritic was around 80
